Of course there is a right or wrong. Everyone knows "as it stands" means if no more goals are scored.
The thread was created discussing "if" things stay the same what outcome it would have. I entered the thread under the same bracket of supposition.
Whether there is a point to the thread is a matter for debate, but my contribution and the timing of my contribution was spot on in terms with what the thread was about. Watford were 3-2 up and "as it stands" that means they were 6 behind as showed by the many "as it stands" tables across the Internet like the BBC, ESPN and Sky Sports websites.
