Yeh, and even in the analogy we've lovingly pulled together Wycombe is the larger town.
You couldn't make it up.

I'm Paxman.
I'm not sticking up for Swansea, I'm sticking up for sanity in general. I'd be the same if this thread was about Spurs.

That's quite similar to your "everywhere I go throughout the UK everyone tells me we are bigger than Swansea" story.
Equally ridiculous.
Why you feel your opinion is irrelevant without having to make up stories about the rest of the UK agreeing with I don't know. If Swansea are the Welsh Wigan after being a top 10 Prem club and winning a major trophy in living memory maybe we are the....
Welsh Wycombe?
More Comedy Gold from....................Welsh Wigan!!

how can it be a better following when everyone comes on here every week complaining of how silent it is, how to improve atmosphere, complaining about booing the team and players, moaning at misplaced passes, fighting with each other, actively allowing the soul of the club to be ripped out and buying e merchendise off the back of it... Are you on drugs by any chance?nubbsy wrote:f*cking hell these arguments are terrible. Just settle it with a scrap or shut the f**k up. Swansea are a better footballing side. Imbecile.
The majority of the Cardiff supporters on here, are open to a sensible discussion. Even if they show they're bias, they don't tend to just treat fiction as fact and when people do that I don't think it's even worth bothering discussing so these sorts of threads, when started by both Swansea or Cardiff fans should really just be closed. I don't think there's anything wrong with discussion between rival fans on a message board, but this thread is all a bit embarrassing when you can present facts like that Swansea have a larger away following than Cardiff, never mind Wigan.

We've taken more fans away than you on average however you want to put it, whether it's all competitions or Premier League games. I'm not trying to slag off Cardiff's away support or anything like that, but it's just a fact and makes the "Welsh Wigan" comment even more embarrassing.

If you are going by this season then that is obvious that your away support on average would be better than ours, I'm on about on a whole in history. We will be back on a level playing field next year.

There's a link and FACT as you put it that cardiff have better average away support than you, taken from the 2010/11 season both on an even playing field in the championship.
So the welsh wigan tag is not embarrassing at all and that table backs it up infact.

Oh because that must be true, and should be treated as the gospelIf you did have higher away attendances in 2010/2011, it does not mean that you have a higher away following than us at the moment. We've had higher away attendances than you for the two seasons following that. That average away quote is still much more than Wigan get now, or have ever got so it doesn't justify it at all.
The thing is the "Welsh Wigan tag" wasn't made in 2010/2011 or in our history, it's been made now when we've got a higher average attendance than you. It is embarrassing and it has no substance whatsoever.
