That shows the exact problems that the kind of director of football that buys players with no real managerial causes.

Then again I suppose Liverpool show the problems caused when the manager has too much say in targets.

As always we should scour the division below the one we will be playing in and scoop up some of their best players - guys who will be hungry for success and not cost a fortune in fees or wages. Much better to pay a bonus for staying up.

Jonathan Williams would have to be a shout.

At times our midfield lose ball cheaply.

We need a CB, full backs, and a CF.

Perhaps kadeem and Etien may be ready to step up with ralls and coulson?

Tom Ince would be a great signing.

I wouldnt mind the following:

Markus Henriksen (From AZ We were apparently keeping tabs on him last summer)
Johann Gudmundsson (From AZ)
Martin Kelly (depends if Liverpool are looking at new players)
Chris Gunter
Virgil van Dijk
Brede Hangeland
Thomas Eisfeld (On season loan)
Alfred Finnbogason
Also need a new target man.....but not quite sure who.

All players named are young, mixture of premiership and European experience.

Where's all this money coming from then for seven+ players?

let's be realistic, we'll get five new players at most next year.

Obviously I don't know how much money well have to spend but if I was milky this is who I'd have at the top of my list:

Defence: Wes Morgan, Adam matthews or Chris Gunter

Midfield: Joe Ledley, Jonathan Williams

Strikers: Le fondre, Charlie Austin

Wouldn't need to spend more than 15-20 million on transfer fees and are all "malky type signings". Would add youth and quality and would give us enough cover in all areas. :ayatollah:

One backup goalkeeper - Lucas Fabianski, Artur Boruc, Lee Camp, Jan Mucha all out of contract in the summer
Lots of defenders - Kyle Naughton on loan? Maynor Figueroa free, Chris Samba relegated? And more
One Midfielder - Ledley, andros Townsend on loan? Jermaine Jenas?, Chris Brunt out of contract
Two Wingers/forwards - John guidetti on loan, nick Powell on loan, fabio boring on loan, Scott Sinclair, junior hoilett, Jamie Mackie, Peter odemwingie?, Hal Robson-Kanu, Adam le fondre
A big striker option - andy Carroll on loan?, Carlton cole, victor anichebe, bobby Zamora, Cameron jerome

lee camp
figueroa
samba (depending on wages)
ledley
townsend
brunt
hoilett
kanu
jerome

with them on board i think we can do quite well :ayatollah:

I know he's an ex jack but I'd have Sinclair any day.

doubt man city would let him go or loan him tbh, he's on the fringe of the first team and next season i can see him getting regular games

How can you see Sinclair getting regular games?

Big talk of major rebuilding at Man City in the summer so I would be hocked if they didn't ship him out.

well why would they buy him if they wernt planning on playing him ? i know they dont mind splashing out but i think they do actually have plans for him
They bought him due to his form for swansea and are probably disappointed with how he has played for them (good system at swansea helps a few players appear to be better than they maybe are in reality) id say he will be off to a team like villa/wigan/or even maybe as good as everton tops..

I really like the way Norwich have done things to be fair.

This is the team that got us up, give them a chance.

This is a good point to be fair, Hangeland's contract runs out at Fulham in the summer. He would be a gd partner with Huds. Turner and connolly can develop from being rotated.
