Occasional Violins wrote:Scott, as one of those who had a refund this season I will tell you now, It's bloody hard going, especially as I still want them to win every game and am delighted by their current position. I've got too much of my life and feelings caught up in the club and virtually all of my friends still go. I just thought that the whole issue was wrong and decided to go with my gut instincts.

I'm not going back as long as they are red, (whatever division they are in) but the self-inflicted pain is sometimes insufferable. :sad7:

Anyone doing it for effect is wasting their time because the effect is zero on the club and Cardiff City as a premier league club will find scores of replacements for your seat. You say you've thought long and hard, my advice would be to think longer and harder because once you've done it you'll still spend copious amounts of your time thinking about it.

OV,

At least you missed the purgatory of Blue Tuesday.

Think back to the football factory film...

the quote of

"What else am I gonna do on a saturday? sit in your f**king armchair wanking over pop idols?"

Whenever 3pm on a saturday (or 1pm on a sunday if we do go up lol) comes along your mind will think "City are playing today", regardless of colour of shirt, that will be for your first instinct, now i say be on the ship sailing through good times, than on land watching it sail away without you!

ultimately it's your choice, but we've waited long enough for these times, you can't turn your back on them now, i fully understand your sentiment "it doesn't feel the same", but sitting at home on a saturday while all your mates are down the match, how will that feel?

whatever your choice, good luck with it.... your decision.

Scott,

Some good advice here.

I'm not renewing.

I wont bore you with why but my feelings are strong. All I can say to you is if you have any doubt about not renewing THEN RENEW.

Sadly many pubs and clubs that people have drank in for many a year have changed, some have even turned into restaurants and many people have decided to drink elsewhere because it doesn't feel like the same pub anymore and this is no different to this football club. A division has been made between the fans and now it's decision time, some will continue to air their views about blue, some will join the alleged new club and some will leave and never come back.Sad days indeed.Losing one fan is one too many in my view.

I think it is a bit different, I've never gotten passionate about a pub in my life.
