How long was Appleton with Blackpool before he jumped ship to Blackburn? Did he even reach a month? There is no loyalty in football and the Venky's have done to Appleton what Appleton did to Blackpool. Appleton can't complain, it's kharma and he's no doubt had a hefty pay off, I don't feel sorry for him one bit.

Exactly what Tonteg Bluebird said. What goes around, comes around. Appleton sold his integrity for a quick pay day and he should have known better. He could be in the playoffs with Blackpool and still in a job right now if he had done the sensible thing and stayed. He got greedy though.

Even if he did quit Craig he was humiliated by his employers on national tv and hounded out by many at the club.

The quicker club owners start getting vetted by the leagues, and managers get more protection the quicker the game will start to look in a healthier state .

If I do crap in my job and get fired, I walk with nothing. Football managers get their contract paid up, which can be huge money. I have zero sympathy, it's a results business and nobody made Appleton walk away from Blackpool or Pompey.
