Anyway, this small club is top of the league while big Wednesday are fighting to stay up. :ayatollah:

Re: AWAY SUPPORT!!!

The rebrand is no excuse and it is quite stupid people try to use it as one.

We don't exactly have it easy.

We are hours away from every club, prices are quite expensive for adults and the cost of an away game would cost £50-£80 for some.

We took many years ago as it was cheaper and the experience of the day was 10 times better than what it is now.. I don't know that for sure but judging the storys most fans say on here I would use that point.

Leeds only take loads of numbers due to the fact they don't go many home games due to their shite prices they charge.

Re: AWAY SUPPORT!!!

A bitter loser, we won you lost, happy days.

People go on about support, but a lot of clubs like Leeds, Derby etc have had a lot more success than us over the last 35 years. while Cardiff and south Wales contains a lot of glory hunters who have followed anyone but their home club.

If Cardiff can make a success of the prem, we could get 35/40 week in week out in a few years time as all the glory hunters start following City.

Enjoy league 1

A lot of our support is quite youthful when you look at it as well, so you can see clearly we're all waiting for new grounds

We get a bigger ground and we will fill it and as the years go on and if we stay in the league, we will get 35/40 easily. time will tell

Did Sheffield Wednesday manage to beat that? Bear in mind Wolves is a further journey for us than it is for Sheffield Wednesday and it was on a Sunday!

I think we all know why we don't travel as much anymore.

It's probably the same reason why we don't have any atmosphere at home anymore!!!

The club is fucked but if we go up I hope we can find a way to unite!!

Re: AWAY SUPPORT!!!

We took around 1400 there. Quite good considering there was a big welsh rugby going on, then of course there's the rebrand holding back support.

Sun Mar 17, 2013 9:57 pm

1400 is brilliant. :ayatollah:

Because I am a "plastic Cardiff fan" I listened on the radio!!'

Not sure where the commentators sit in relation to the Cardiff fans but what I will say is the Cardiff fans sounded loud as f**k to me!!!

Even got the odd goose bump whilst hearing them ;)

Well done Cardiff

Our game was a sunday game, would have sold out being on a saturday and don't forget we had'nt won in the seven games before we had played you! City away is poor and there ain't an excuse for it! ;)

No Sam, I've seen you come to Cardiff a few times on a Saturday and fetch about a 1000.

Baz we sold out the season we went down, and we haven't had nothing to play for one the other occasions but i do recall coming to Ninnian park in 84 and taking over the ground with 10,000 + and being allover the pitch at the end, but i think you was still in your nappies back then! ;)

Leeds, Forest etc have a lot of away games closer than us. We are down south and have to travel many more miles than the majority of away fans in our division. But I still think the main reason is the rebrand has had an effect on a lot of our die hards travelling away. I believe we would have taken around 3,000 to Sheffield if we wasn't rebranded.

I don't class the rebrand has an excuse for a poor away following,You are top of the league and on the verge of going into the Premiership and in my opinion if you don't do it this season you never will,so you should sell out all you away games no excuse! :old:

But Sam it aint an excuse. Even though we are top it dosen't mean the same any more. And lots dont go because of that. If the re brand had happened to you mate would it be the same for you ? even if you was top ?
