If 90% of the fans are happy why no "the reds are going up" ?

Ah I see what your on about though I haven't seen much evidence of this but whats worse in my view are the fans who can't support the rebrand and then make out that the ones that do are not real fans and then if thats not bad enough some say they are off to form their own club(A DIFFERENT ONE) :? .And then theres the diehard city fan whoes never going down again and keeps telling us hes gone again and again and again but always comes back to tell us what a bunch of kunts we are.

Well JonCCFC,if youv'e been following the city for years yourself then you like me will have no experience at all about following a prem club so I would rather suck it and see for myself first.

Sneggy, despite his many comments, JonCCFC is 18 years of age, so has little experience of life never mind Cardiff City FC and shows it too ;)

Mind you, his age does mask his true intelligence (around an adolescent13 at best!!) :ayatollah:

Why do people bring the age of someone into it?

Surely it's not Jon's fault that he's 18? How can he attend games before he was even born?!

Good post mate, I have been a fan four. 44 years and I've had some fantastic times home and away. Been at Ninian Park with 1800 fans . Often thought If I won the Euro lottery , I would not have bought the city , Don't matter how much money I put into the club it won't be enough for some fans who would Only Slag U off then. If I put the money in I certainly I'd make the changes I wanted. Prefer Blue But What Ever. Premier Ship Here we Come. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

It doesn't bother me mate, I know I'm just as much of a supporter as anyone else, they just don't like the fact that some "kid" can contribute to a debate about City and prove some oldies wrong.

Because that would be provocative to those who are fiercely pro-blue, and I've gone out of my way to try and be sensitive to people who feel strongly about this issue, as I would love to see us all united (and I'm sure most sensible pro-change people feel the same). :ayatollah:

I am not trying to make out I am a better fan than anyone else.

The days of travelling all over the place stick in my mind very well.....jeez, there was a day when we won at Shrewsbury it was considered a success!

Hands on hearts to the older fans....did you ever think we would see the City in an FA and League Cup final within a few years?

We are fans...we aren't critics etc.

Where we are at the moment is brilliant....if it's not your thing then walk away!

I've read through this thread twice and I cannot see any statement that claims that the longer anybody has supported this club makes them a "better fan".

TheHangedMan is spot on here. No one (including me) has mentioned that longevity makes anyone the 'better' supporter and yet JonCCFC decises that is the case because he cannot come back with a reasoned response to others questions

How can the premier league and success not be everything?!?!

Its a football match that we go to. The idea is to win! Win at all cost sometimes.

If you don't want to be in the prem. You are saying you don't mind city losing some games. And I personally detest any city loss. We support city for us to see success and celebrate those times. We don't support city to go away days with mates, that's just an added extra. But people seem to think going to the game with there mates is more important.

Bring on promotion and winning the league. Will be best day in my supporting life.

Some very good points my friend, I agree entirely with your sentiments.

Re: 47 years

I for one can't wait for prem football (if it happens!) If the fans of other clubs dont think its that great why do we without fail see the tears from those relegated on the final day of the season. I think this business of the prem not being that good comes from those fans that thrive on being a big fish in a little pond, of which I fear we have quite a few. bring on the big pond lets see how far we can swim. :ayatollah:

This thread excusing the name calling will be good to recall a year from now.

Are Stoke successful ? Their fans are having a right go at Pulis, some want him out !!

I am only concerned that once the euphoria dies down and hopefully survive the first season, we realised what we sold for being the 15th team in a division that only cares about the top four.

Our debts will be even higher because a lot of fans will demand big names complete with big transfers fee and even bigger salaries. The extra thousand shirts we have shifted in Asia won't matter a jot.

What do you want from the premier league, a photo of van Persie or Rooney playing at the CCS ? An autograph ? The idea was to pay off the debt, but we will need to throw the dosh at players and agents.

So we changed our historic colours and emblem for snapshots of united players.

The alternative is to stay in the championship and go bust.

Do you remember a couple of seasons ago?

What do I want from the premier league? Being there is a nice start.

If you think there is something glorious about lower league football and small crowds then find a club to satisfy your needs.

Is it a Welsh thing that when our club is top of the league and on the verge of going up a few still have to find fault.

I'm all for your opinion but if you don't want part of it then you can easily walk away.

The alternative is surely to buy worse players or throw games? If Cardiff don't start every game looking to win then they aren't doing the job, and nobody would watch.

Typical welsh mentality that you'd want the club to actually not win games.

I want premier league as it means we have been successful. As long as malky does the best a manager could do with the resources available each season we can't ask for anymore.

Ask west brom fans if the prem doesn't care for them. They are loving every minute of being in the prem, as my brother in law

Your club doesn't need to be successful to enjoy going out to the football.

Football to me is about going out with my mates and having a laugh regardless of how good my team is... not about seeing Wayne Rooney walk around a football pitch.
