If we renew then we're not being true to ourselves and we are selling out. If we don't renew then we are turning our backs on the club. For me, personally, I only need to stay true to myself. I know my feelings, I know my reasons and I respect those of others. I have no time for anyone slating my decision because it's not their decision to make.

Ely Boy, I said earlier, I agree with you on your feelings and in a way I am in a similar position. I will always support Cardiff and wish them well but I cannot justify being a season ticket holder and giving my money to a man who has shown no respect to the fans or the tradition of the club. I wish people would stop assuming that if you're not a season ticket holder, you're not a real fan.

I can appreciate that position but tonnes of those who are saying this are saying they don't care any more, that their feelings for the club are gone. I find that incredible over just a colour change.

Depends what that matter is though.

No matter what means no matter what.

So if Cardiff City change their name?

'CITY till I die'. It's not City then and that is the breaking point for me.

I find it totally acceptable and can't understand people who don't.

For me personally, and I think it will be the same with others, it is more than the colour change. It is the lack of respect the owners are showing for the fans, the club and its traditions. My patience was tested with the colour change but I put up with it because I wanted to carry on going to every game and thought I should suck it up for the good of the club.

However, Vincent Tan's chat and actions have been nothing short of disrespectful and obnoxious. The red scarf bribery was embarrassing and really hit me harder than I thought it would. I think I always felt that beneath the thousands of season ticket holders that there was an underbelly of discontented fans who were tolerating the colour change but then to see all those scarves... I just died a bit inside to be honest. It felt like all those people I thought who felt how I felt didn't feel that way.

There's plenty of other reasons and things that have made me decide not to renew but it's different for each person. I just wish fans who have renewed would stop berating those that haven't. It's a personal decision and no need for aggro. I totally understand why people haven't renewed but I also understand why people are sticking with the club. It's all subjective.

You're location says Newport, you should be on the Newport County message board as they are your local team, my comment is as ridiculous as yours.

I am a Cardiff City fan, the current club is not Cardiff City.

Is it just a coincidence that more and more of these posts have appeared since our poor run of results lately...if we'd beaten Brighton/Derby/ Leicester , I don't think we'd be seeing so many myself...as for 'City till I die'--don't know anyone who sings that, apart from the jerks...

Not many threads would be created if we was winning, people deny it when it is true.

Re: I tried hard I really did

no matter where you stand we all have to agree Tan has divided us fans how many other clubs has divided fans.

Football fans all have one thing in common we all agree on supporting the same thing a football club and the enjoyment is we all share the same goal we all pull in the same direction for are club we have always done that. How do we carry this on when VT has caused so many differences in strong opinions between fans of the same club .

We dont deserve it top of the table and all this bollocks going on fans life long fans of many many years walking away and others saying  buy then. That is a real shame fans leaving which I totally and utterly understand and others mocking.

Those fans that have gone feel so strongly about the situation they leave after 30 or more years of supporting the club.Cant people see how strongly those people feel about things to off and leave after all them years.

If anybody cant see what VT has done then shame on you carry on the buy buy and the  if you loved the club you would be gutted to see a fellow long standing fan leave. For so many to up and walk away doesnt that say something we are in trouble I am gutted for my club hurts .

Re: I tried hard I really did

I respect and understand their opinions.

I ain''t going to mock them leaving the club for a bit or whatever.

I ain't going to be gutted if they leaving though.. its their choice.

I will continue to support the club..I don't like it but Football has changed and some people haven't realised that it has happened to other clubs with all the advertisining in other countrys.. some people need to realise Football ent how it was back in the day.

football has changed, shirt sponsors, all seating, stadium sponsors, foreign owners, crazy expensive tickets... I could take all that and more probably but what has happened to our club is nothing short of brutal. what has happened to Cardiff is beyond anything that has happened to any other British club in recent history.

Well said.

I hate losing the blue shirt, but losing Cardiff City would be far worse. The theory that VT would-not walk away was total crap, his whole vision can't work without the rebrand.

The golden key is the Welsh Dragon. VT can see an excellent opportunity to exploit that branding in the Far East and he needs a team playing in red.

I accept that situation because it is for the greater good, but I am becoming bored stiff with cry baby stories about being emotionally traumatised and not being able to support CCFC.

Frankly if you are that half-hearted and weak minded then fine take up fishing or something, but don't keep boring us with the details.

OMG........ another attention seeker who can't deal with reality.

Anybody else leaving......... cos that's all we want to hear about.

Forget the shit that we were going under. ....... forget the shit that we would not exist without Tan's money.

Just worry about the colour of the shirt. ...... forget the players who have taken us to where we are!

Unreal........ it beggars belief.
