I remember that too. 'Hudson the donkey'.

Please show me where I said Hudson was a waste of money?

Spare us the bottom 4 crap weve spent crazy money on wages and should be at the top not the bottom.

In nugent you get a solid centre back. We concede f**k all when he plays. Distribution will come with experience as will ironing out mistakes like own goal vs wurzels. Absolute bellends imo judging his whole career on tonight. He was solid. Cant blame our poor scoring form on his bad passing

Its ridiculous slamming a 19 year old cb when it would have been a good performace all round if wed one 2-1.. Not many players can be blamed tonight, didnt think we were necessarily outplayed it was just substandard not helped by the fact that we played one of the top 4 squads in the league. NP got his tactics right, they defended well and we were bullied a bit physically. TS, whits and gunnar were below their best. Rudy was great and what was needed and I hope he gets his start with campbell, bells and conway on the wings

Boro should have scored 5 that day and a sub appearance for 45 mins against Hudds. Well done.
Every game hes started weve conceded and the last 2 games hes been shocking.
I take no pleasure flagging this but its pressure time and hes not the answer.
Im off to bed now before his agent / friend / brother gets out of his pram again.

Times like this i wish there was a 'like' button. Thats 2 clean sheets, ok a mistake cost him an otherwise great performance and clean sheet vs bristol, tonight defensively prevented goals and im not sure about his other 2 appearences but ill bet they werent losses. Your right polo 'stats dont lie'

Hey i'm on your side, it's just for arguments sake. Nugent should not be where hes at right now and the blame is squarely on Malky for not seeing this problem coming.

I am pointing out Nugent as he was the worst of a bad lot, and tonight and last week says hes not the answer at this moment in time.

The manager shouldn't be putting all this much pressure on a young apprentice in the first place.

Re: Ben Nugent

Don't think he deserves all this criticism. Thought first half he was decent when Hudson was alongside him. Second half however he seemed to lack confidence playing alongside Conolly and was poor at times. I was sitting in the Ninian right alongside the offside line and he was playing their last man onside all the time. Very young, very raw but a hot prospect and I feel he would have had a far better second half if Hudson had stayed on. People are having a pop left right and centre at his and a few others' distribution tonight but they had no options to aim at. I like Tommy Smith but I don't think he did his job tonight. He seemed to be playing the furthest forward of a middle 3 linking the midfield and attack but his movement was poor and vary rarely offered himself as an offensive option. Gunnarson and Wittingham often had the ball at their feet facing the Leicester defence but had 4 statues in front of them. Some on here don't like him but I feel that Helguson was a massive part of our good form earlier in the season with the way he brought others into play in the final 3rd. There doesn't seem to be that link between mid and attack atm.

No because I was reffering to starting appearances
and it was in the context of baloo claiming we dont concede when he plays.

Oh christ, i didnt say he was our talisman. Maybe it is a bit too much too soon
We got 8 points out of the 12 and lost none of them right? the ones we drew would not have been turned to wins without him. Its failure to penetrate by attacking players which cost us those points. Please go to bed. Your not wrong he strggles to pick a pass but hes pretty solid regardless of age

Well if he thinks he's ready then it's his decision isn't it? it goes for any player in the team. Noone has been poor lately in my opinion, so has Whittingham. I just don't understand the Criticism. He's done alright, his distribution isn't brilliant but is turners that good when he plays? He just plays that long diagonal ball doesn't he. The blame does fall on malky if his choice is wrong but we're top of the league. His judgement can't be that bad

Your not wrong. Im not saying what I think is important in the scheme of things but I think hes had a fantastic season and people are just looking for a scapegoat in our bad run of form. Lucky to have him as a reserve CB. Due to youth he doesnt mind sitting on the bench and more.often than not does a job
