So technically yes something has changed, but it is in CCFC's favour, not against as you are trying to make out.

Hull were 5 points behind having played 1 game more, now 6 behind with 1 game more.

As you were.

It doesn't matter what happened. AT THE TIME we were 5 points ahead, which is potentially 2 games worth of points ahead.it really isn't that difficult.

We are 4 points ahead now which is nearly down to a 1 game lead.

As you were.

So nothing has changed then?

Its still 2 points plus a game in hand. Same as it was the morning this whole debate come about.

"Nearly down to 1" goes against everything you have ever said as you "cannot predict the future results".

It is nearly 3 just as much as its nearly 1 if you want to go down that route.

As you were

Err yes, we were 5 points ahead and now we are 4. Again, not difficult.

And I didnt predict anything, I have never given my opinion on what will happen with regards to this. If a club is 4 points behind us they are potentially 2 games behind us, this is indisputable fact. However now it's 4 points behind instead of 5 the amount of result combinations needed for us to be caught has increased as the team in second doesn't need to win both their games now, a win and a draw will do if we lose our next two games.

Simple maths.

As you were.

Not quite that simple I am afraid we have a 9+ goal difference on Hull so whilst not impossible your scenario is highly unlikely to get a 9 goal swing in 2 losses for us and 1 win for hull.

All this second guessing doesnt matter anyway. As youve said previously we can only look at the table now and the ONLY way Hull can be GUARANTEED to go above us within 2 games is 2 losses for City and 2 wins for Hull.

So nothings changed since this debate first started other than there is now 5 less games for Hull to catch us.

FACT.

Simple maths.

As you were.

Well I'm glad you now realise Hull can go above us in two games time now.

Things clearly have changed though as now there are two teams in a two game striking distance, one with a much better GD.

Such a poor comeback its not worthy of anymore basic maths lessons.

It's not a comeback, it's a response. You clearly finally admitted that Hull can catch us in two games. That's what the whole discussion was about. No dismissive ripostes can detract from that, your argument has slipped.

Unlucky, as you were.

Ciao, ciao, ciao.

Re: Nothing Has Changed

And just to give you another basic maths lesson...as again you are completely WRONG with your statement "the only way they can be guaranteed to go above us is if we lose two and they win 2."

The difference between 4 points and 5 points is we can draw one and lose one, they win their next two and they are a point ahead. So things clearly have chanced as I mentioned in my first post to you, the result combinations required in order for us to be toppled have increased.

So, sorry to rub salt into your gaping wound but even your desperate argument here is completely wrong and lacking in any sort of basic maths skills.

As you were

Ciao

Yes polo, as I keep telling you - it changes after nearly every game week. It's kind of how it works.

You will get it eventually

And it's still true.

We can only hope he's grasped it this time and doesnt keep getting shocked by the table changing every week.

My viewpoint doesn't differ depending on results, you seem confused.

My viewpoint is that a team 5 points behind is potentially 2 games worth of points behind. Simple as that. If that becomes 7 points then it's potentially 3 games behind, 12 points is potentially 4 games behind... So on and so forth.

As I said, you will get it eventually.

Youve decided to miss out the most important element of your viewpoint Paxy.

You originally claimed Hull were going to catch us as they "were only 2 games worth of points behind"

That was some 6 weeks and the gap has now been extended.

You can twist and turn and try and change the argument all you want but are you going ti stand by your view that Hull will catch us?

Bearing in mind they have to win all 8 and we have to lose 4 of our remaining 9?

Lets hear it right here, right now, will we be caught as you previously claimed?

Where did I say they will catch us? Or have you just made that up?

Desperate times call for desperate measures I guess. Feel free to quote me....
