I'm sorry mis-understood you I thought you were on about the Ridsdale times

They were the Risdale times

Exactly! Its hard work here!
The Malaysians were already supporting the club when it was in court during those days and had indicated that they were going to put more money into the club so it wasn't as dramatic as some may think: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 557188.stm

But make no mistake about it had someone else started to invest at the same time as Tan then they would have also indicated to the club that they would have put more money into the club.
How stupid are you! They brought us out, they were our only option, if they hadnt stepped in we wouldnt have been able to pay the court costs!

It was easily as dramatic as those people think! We went to court 5 times! they dont bring you into court to hold a mardi gra!

Why do you think he is so determined to get rid of our traditional colour and how do you feel about his motivation for doing so?

So what if you don't like the idea of premiership football go watch Newport County unless you got something against the colour Orange :laughing5:

The usual scaremongering and propaganda from both camps in here.

Red or dead? Not quite, how many times have Pompey been threatened with closure? If Tan leaves it would be a disaster but we would still have a club in blue to support in league two.

Would sinking down the leagues to sort ourselves out be a bad thing? No. Watch Plymouth over the next decade, going down the leagues like they have is a god send as it enables them to sort themselves out, they will be in the premier league by 2025.

I do like the idea of premier league football, but not at any cost.

Could well be in the Conference next season.
A club with no money just like CCFC have been over the years.
Premier League. No chance, not even by 2125.

Teams like Plymouth and Bristol City were relying on England winning the 2018 World Cup bid for new stadium and the retail park, hotels, etc that go with it.

Admittedly conference football is a step too far but Luton will come out of it stronger. It's necessary for clubs to tumble down the leagues, less pressure to put players on big money long term contracts and a real need to concentrate on youth development. Plymouth will be in the premier league one day just like the Jacks have risen they will rise, similar size clubs. Fulham and Hull have had big money problems in the past, both got through it and played in the top tier.

Red or dead is a myth, mere propaganda.
