how true you are :-)...........but do you call this new brand Cardiff city?....the city of 1927, real madrid, stant, perry, eddie may, i dont so im out ..... but i wish u all the success u desire

Yes I do because that's its name :ayatollah:
The "new" club will not have any of that history.

So if I bought Manchester United and changed them to blue with a bluebird on the badge you would then support them?

I think most will be surprised on how many on here have expressed an interest in this new club :o now then you will ask how many more will be interested when the Bluebird goes !! Then if the "CITY" disappears from the name. How many more would then show an interest ?
But then it would of been its only a colour ! Only a nickname ! Only the City part of our name ! At what point is your breaking point ?
The reason why they are posting on here is because there is an interest from all quarters of this Forum.

Whenever breaking point is, that's when it is and Cardiff city finishes, I certainly won't be supporting a different team.

Sorry I would see a new club as I see the jacks, a local rival. They would never mean anything to me. If I stopped supporting Cardiff City then that would be it.

I didn't know the new club was an age percific thing, apologies.
I have been to Tranmere, no idea if its your specific date though, don't think so. Apologies.

Definately interested, but would this be parks football?

Don't understand why a newly formed club would be allowed to skip all the divisions below it and play a "decent" standard. Wimbledon and Manchester spin off clubs were very well financially backed and were able to pay players more than the league standard which is why they attracted some very good players.

Does this club have a good financial backing to immediately set itself apart from other clubs it will be pit against or is it just a fact that it will be blue wi a bluebird? The club needs to have an attraction for players to want to play for the club and the majority of good players (old pros, conference level players or ex pros) aren't city fans meaning the incentives would have to be cash.

I'd back it if I felt it would go somewhere, but right now there is so little clarity on what it is, to me it sounds like it will end up being a parks football team with Cardiff fans playing for it. It's a very noble idea but wouldn't want it become some sort of joke club as it is defeating the objective.

You can't go unless you went to Tranmere on a specific date mind

Re: NEW CLUB UPDATE

I think if it was clear what was happening then a lot more people may become interested.

But right now it seems like a fake Cardiff at parks level or a fake Cardiff on the verge of the Prem. it's an easy choice. Yet if the second choice was a credible club then there may be some willing to jump ship. But people have to know what they are leaving the club for as it will be a big decision in itself.

Right now there is no detail what so ever apart from the fact "we are serious about it and we are doing it". But doing what exactly, so far it's unclear.

I don't think for one second that this will happen. There are already a few teams in Cardiff who are doing well in the Welsh leagues.

I think Hudson is more likely to get a hat trick of halfway line goals next game
And he is out injured anyway

They have enough for a subs bench now as well.

Re: NEW CLUB UPDATE

They would have alot of plastics and two team tossers following them, they would also have to make sure games are played at different times to Cardiff City as most of the members of this non existant club have renewed for next season.

A question, after all this so called effort to create this new said club, what happens if Tan reverts back to blue?? what happens to the so called New Club? waste of time me thinks,

No disrespect, you will need 1000s to follow the new club. City has about 250k registered fans and we barely sell out our home games even though we are staring promotion in the face.

Not going to happen.

You'd like to believe it, but you know it's doomed to fail and just another embarrassing toys out of the pram tantrum, there's more chance of you buying a season ticket next year and going back on your admirable principles and supporting VT's club . :old:

Committed members or face book clicks, how many do you honestly believe will step up and invest the funds needed for such a venture, I'll chuck a ton in, if you call yourself the M&M's and play in red.
Does this mean those 300 clickers are not renewing their season tickets?

Re: NEW CLUB UPDATE

Good luck, maybe 30-50 years time we might see something on this. But like the above, i support Cardiff City. I'm not too bothered about the colour change, although not happy about the badge change, but there are still my home team which im proud to support.

And if it means a colour and badge change to keep the club alive and afloat, so be it.

Really? Surprised by that. I hope those who are organizing it know how much work it takes to form a decent club, if they're hoping to be like FC United of Manchester then they will need atleast 1000 committed fans and a lot of money. Unless the rebrand gets any worse, I doubt anything will happen any time soon, maybe in a few years if the club are completely red and there's no chance of turning back to blue. I'm totally against the rebrand but I'm still hopeful we will change back to blue one day, I just wish those who are trying to form this new club would put more effort into protesting against the rebrand than giving up altogether.

Just because we play in red doesn't mean we're a 'fake' team does it? :x
