"Just like watching Brazil" in the 1st half, they never had a kick, felt we should have had more goals before half-time, but we held out second half and got a great result. :ayatollah: :malky:

I think we will get another 20/21 points which is being kind to some weaker teams

Middlesbrough V Cardiff D
Cardiff V Derby W
Cardiff V Leicester L
Sheff Wed V Cardiff D
Peterborough V Cardiff D
Cardiff V Blackburn D
Watford V Cardiff D
Cardiff V Barnsley W
Cardiff V Nottm Forest W
Cardiff V Charlton W
Burnley V Cardiff D
Cardiff V Bolton D
Hull V Cardiff D

Can some one explain the maths, regarding number of points / wins needed to guarantee automatic promotion please ?
I might be being a bit thick here, but cant understand the 5 or 6 wins theory, when we have 13 games left ??????????

That's pretty low end to me considering the club's run up till now. I would project 28 more points. Even on a conservative scale based on how the club has played I see no less than 24 points.

Middlesbrough V Cardiff D

Sheff Wed V Cardiff D

Watford V Cardiff D

I also think Blackburn Home April 1st

and then join ne anmd a few mates in doing the Canton Mile

Not as many as there used to be but 1 pint in each still a test

1 Vic Park
2. Clive
3.Corporation
4. Butchers
5. The Canton
6. The Canton Cross
7. Canton Sports Bar
8. Witherspoons
9. Kings Arms

Think eth Insole and Forresters are closed now
but could squeeze in Mavericks(Ninian

9 pints celebration minimum

88 points will be enough to take us up, it always has been in the past, infact some seasons as little as 85 points have been enough, as for the 6 wins theory with 13 games left, most teams have to play each other so they can't get maximum points.

History is the best measure we have on what we need to achieve.

If you go back over the last 4 seasons you will find that at this time of the campaigns the points shared between 2nd to 6th are very close to this time around. However for the top spot the average is 65 points where we already have 70 so we have an edge over the last few seasons.

On average the 3rd spot has won 80 points at the end of the campaign with the exception of last season when West Ham missed out on 86. So if things go to averages we could gain an auto place with 82 points but to make sure we need 87. I'm confident 86 will do the trick for us with plenty to spare.
