I think there is something inherently elitist in the way that you use the word "true fans" there, as if those of us who take a different view are not "true fans".

That's what this thread was about, because you say the majority,to me the ones who have accepted the red are the young generation (hence why the age question was asked),and the new fan who has never watched Cardiff city in any other division than the championship, meaning they have no real affinity to the club, making it easier to accept the colour change, could you ever see man united turning blue

I've supported Cardiff all my life, and that includes watching us in the 2 lower leagues.

Why? That seems pretty personal to me and you're not asking anyone else the same question.

Is it just because I'm not going with the majority on this mb?

the majority of red sell outs

Why am I selling out when that's my preference?

how you prefer Cardiff City to be playing in red rather than blue is beyond me, calling you a sell out is a vast understatement !!!! words fail me

ristey, Die Walkure has his own opinion as do you and I and everyone else, and is very much entiltled to it, that does not make him a sell out or anything else apart from a supporter of Cardiff City FC but does make him an opinionated person that has his beloved club at heart and not a colour.
I want blue back by the way and always have and always will but you can't knock anybody for having their own opinion on things, they are entitled to it.

The only reason most wore scarves was to try to win a season ticket. If they given out Blue scarves it would have been a sea of blue.

On reflection , I think all this proves is that everyone loves a freebie , as you say if it was blue scarves it would of been a sea of blue.

I've decided now to draw a line under the re brand now , I want blue but we are not atm , I just want to enjoy the rest of the season now , if I keep moaning about red it's not going to change. I will wear blue every game from now on and just enjoy the usual roller-coaster ride of Cardiff City the Bluebirds

If you do nothing, then things definitely will not change. If you do something, then their is a chance it may. The longer we stay in red and do nothing then the more likely it is that we will see the end of the Bluebird, red seats in the stadium, a change of name etc. The change of colour was just the beginning.

It's as simple as that.

If you read my post again , I mean the rest of the season , after this season is over now I think would be a good time to protest as even if we protest and that nothing can change this season

I think it's that I just can't understand why a colour is so important to people, although I can clearly see that it is to many others and I fully respect that - I just happen to differ, and can't pretend that I feel a way that I don't.

There are others I know who feel similarly but don't post much because of the worry of abuse for outlining their views. I'd never felt that way up until today, but I am starting to feel that way now.

I've always kept my arguments on a friendly basis without resorting to abuse against anyone who feels differently to me.

I am starting to feel like an outsider on this mb though, and am genuinely considering leaving the board, although the debate with yourself has been fine - it's a shame others can't debate reasonably as well.

I think within the wider fan base, I'm in the majority, but not on this mb - that I can live with, but just getting insulted for outlining your opinions is not my idea of fun.

The first colour I saw Cardiff play in was obviously blue, and I have nothing against the blue - but neither have I got anything against the red.

I take your point about the Jacks

Die walkure---i got nothing against the colour red,if it was the away kit that would be fine, you ve got to admit Cardiff are known as a team that play in play, are they not,?our nickname is the bluebirds?,with the colour changing to red its clear the two don't mix,so the bluebird will dissapear,I ve sung that(bluebirds) since I was around 10,it's all about sentiment, don't any if that pull on any heart strings????,it does for me that's why I say any true city fans with strong emotionally ties to the club can just accept it all just being taken away,do u understand any of that?

I fully understand what you're saying, as some of my closest friends feel the same - I just can't feel it myself.

I see this as the dawn of something massive in our history, and am genuinely excited about it, and am just concerned that if these protests come about, they could destabilise the team and mess up what should be our promotion season.

It all comes down I suppose to whether or not you trust VT and I am a massive fan of his.

Yes a massive part in our history, something I ve waited over 30 years for (to see Cardiff city to play premiership football),guess what I feel nothing, the rebrand has taken the buzz away for me,as for tan, he's the same as every other chairman we ve had,in it purely for the money nothing more nothing less, and believe me when he thinks he can make enough money out of us,he ll be gone

I dont think he's in it for the love of the club either, but I believe his ambitions will make us succesful, and in that way, we will both benefit.

I see where you're coming from though - others I know feel the same - I just can't feel that myself.

Like I said previous, people who like yourself, who like and have accepted the rebrand, can't have any true affinity to the club,or who also support another side in the premiership, you have your opinion though, just not matched by mine,I'd personally feel embarrassed to wear a red city shirt

I can assure you that i do have a true, longstanding and depp affinit for the club.

I'd never support another team, and have no time at all for any of the "big" teams in the Premiership - until we become one of them, that is  :ayatollah:
