The Cardiff City that we know and love is being killed bit by bit already, if we do nothing it will be unrecognisable in a few short seasons.
times changed, as the club gets bigger things have to change ! ask fans of any club who are in the premier league who have come up through the divisions ,not saying its for the better but change has to happen
what premier league club has changed its kit and name in recent seasons then..?
did i mention change of kits ?????????? NO ! "The Cardiff City that we know and love is being killed bit by bit " im saying most clubs fans through out the league are thinking of this ? due to a number of factors ,money is the biggest factor ! change is happening in all clubs up and down the leagues !
Yes change can happen but doing it behind closed doors and keep things a sercet until the season tickets have been sold is nothing but a disgrace. Many people were welcoming the change fromthe days of division 4 and so on but then the changes like colour when completely behind the backs fans. Remember that photo shoot with the new kits happened in April of last year!!!

[b]A change of shorts! We changed to an all blue kit about 10 seasons ago. Liverpool are red and the red shorts just added more red to their kit, not really a change is it!
Malcolm Allison "Palace fans such as myself will remember well the quantum leap (or stumble) led by Allison at the start of the 1973-74 season," writes Phil Hawkins. "It was all change for club colours and playing strip, from claret and blue to Barcelona-inspired red and royal blue stripes, the Glaziers became the Eagles, a brand new badge – and sadly, at season's end, a brand new [Third] Division."
So they change from claret and blue to red and blue with a different style. Again, only a slight alteration, they didn't completely change the colour of their shirt like we have.
Jimmy Hill "On Hill's arrival, he brought in a change which would alter the face of the club for its entirety," report Coventry City on their website. "The new sky blue kit at the time gained widespread approval from the crowd and critics alike. It was described as 'smart' and 'continental-like' and it had the advantage of rarely clashing with the opposition's colours."
Coventry have always worn sky blue, although in their early seasons they kept switching from sky blue to dark blue. But sky blue has always been prominent in their kits. You say the change (although it's hardly a change) gained widespread approval. Our current change has not got widespread approval.
Mike Summerbee "Summerbee became Stockport's player-manager in the summer of 1979 and promptly changed Stockport's kit to replicate the Argentina kit in an attempt to get the team playing like World Cup winners," writes Phil Rhodes. "We still constantly finished near the bottom of the Fourth Division. This stayed in place until March 1982 when the outbreak of the Falklands war forced a rapid alteration of the kit. We even had to ask the Football League if we could change our registered colours midway through the season."
Stockport changed from blue shirts and white shorts to the Argentina like blue and white stripes, but the kit was altered again after the Falklands, so it didn't last long. But again, although a different style, this isn't a radical change like ours as they didn't change their colours..
John Bond "Back in 1971, the Bournemouth manager is said to have been the person behind the adoption of the red and black stripes for the Cherries kit for the 1971-72 season in homage to Milan," writes Simon Melville.
Since being officially known as AFC Bournemouth (they were originally formed as Boscombe), they have worn nothing but red, white and black. Even in 2000, they still wore white shorts and all the way back in 1923, they wore black shorts and socks with their red and white stripes. So although the AC Milan look was a change of style, it wasn't a radical change of colours.
Graham Taylor "I'm sure that many other Watford fans will write in to tell you this, but Watford's traditional colours of gold and black were changed by Taylor, whose lucky colour is red," writes GH30. "He moved from Lincoln City, who play in red and white, and requested that red be included in the club's colours. Watford have played in yellow, red and black ever since."
Again, the change from gold and black to yellow and black is hardly a radical change. The colours look very much alike and the added red trim is no different to when we added a bit of yellow onto our blue and white kit.

But only Crystal Palace and Watford in your example have slightly changed their colours. Your other examples have only involved changes to the style and design of their kits only, but no actual colour change. Look at the historical football kits for all your examples if you don't believe me.

Why would I want to go on historical football kits to look at examples.
Liverpool changed white shorts..to red. a colour change.
Stockport changed to match argentinas kit.
you're boring and picking holes in a simplistic answer to a simplistic question.
