Agree with this. This forum has turned into a complete whinge-fest, with the same thread being created time and time again. Life is full of choices, seems people have to make another one now. You either keep your allegiance to the club that is Cardiff City regardless of colour, players, managers, stadia etc or you cling to what you know and the traditions your time as a fan brings with it. Each to their own and nobody has the right to say another is wrong, but this self pitying is becoming pathetic.
City my arse. Its turned into Liverdiff.
Were we chelsdiff before then? The red issue is what it is but can't see what trying to link it to other teams achieves unless the Malaysians come out and state that it is the reason behind the change.

He has his reasons then. Perhaps it was going to every shit part of the country that makes him think the change is worth it? Perhaps he has bigger problems is his life? Inside he could be gutted but trying to give it a chance? Who knows, but it's an individual choice and who are we to judge him?

JonScam wrote:I'm exactly the same, a 'team' rebrand could be tolerated to an extent (survival etc), but not a 'fans' rebrand. People say its just a colour and the name is still Cardiff City (except for the scarfs), so why do we feel like this on the verge of a 50 year wait to the big time? f*cking sickening.
I really struggle to see how people who have racked up years down the City are comfortable with whats happening and are able to relate to it? It's nowhere near the same club - no edge, no atmosphere, hardly any passion from the stands anymore, the team looks different, the badge is different etc etc. It's not US going up, it's a new fake club and the whole of Britain are watching in hysterics over what we've become - How can anyone take pride in this I really can't understand. The new club in its current guise, cultural approach & dismissal of our history does not represent me, the areas we are from or any of the fans who have attended games consistently over the last I dont know how many years. We're proud people, proud of our identities, proud of our reputation, what the f**k has happened to everyone? A sniff of success and everyone is willing to sacrifice everything that has made us. All just IMO of course.
All boils down to what you value, simple as. Anyone who wears red or one of those scarfs had a choice and cant argue any different. I'm not slagging anyone off here or trying to have a pop, that is not my intention, however anyone who choose to wear red etc does not value our history/identity, they cant do otherwise they wouldnt even think about wearing any of that shite. And I dont accept this new chapter and chamge bollocks either - yes there are reasons we could tolerate the team playing in a different colour but not our fans adopting the colour also. The next few weeks on the Cardiff (City) fromt will be interesting to say the least.

No we were Cardiff City the BLUEbirds before.
We are just a cheap scouse imitation now.
In retaliation to being shit we have retaliated to the large armchair scouse/manc brigade in south wales by mocking them as plastics. Our team was shit but at least we were not joking supporters.
Quite ironic then that we have become a plastic clone of Liverpool / Man U.

It's called a figure of speech. Trying to make the point that this bloke you saw has his reasons for wearing the red stuff despite his history of watching the City

But I don't care what time in the season it is, we need to stand up to the rebrand and protest. Some people are saying "wait til the end of the season", but if we get promoted the red will be worn more and more by the plastics who turn up for the good times. I know you and a lot of others are saying that we should've stood up to it a long time ago, and I agree, but it's never too late to try.
I do want this club to succeed, but our traditions come first for me. It makes me sick that some foreigner has taken that away from us because he likes the colour red and he doesn't care what we the fans think. We shouldn't go out without a fight.
I am not fully bothered about what time of the season it is. Just you won't be heard unless you do it towards the end of the season..

I wasn't angry, just really really disappointed looking around and seeing all those red scarves was just a heartbreaking experience.
But what has given me real heart is the response on the two main message boards, the fact that there are many fans that feel exactly the same as me. The disappointment of tuesday turned to anger at what this man has done to OUR club, because it is OUR club not HIS club. I fully understand why some have walked away, I was close myself the othe ohter night but I really believe that we can unite and do something about this, how I'm not sure but there have already been suggestions this week, and if we can unite we can achieve what we all want, which is OUR clubs identity back!
But to do this we need a focal point, somewhere where we can all put any differences aside to unite and fight for OUR club.
I would love Keep Cardiff Blue to be used as a focal point where every right minded City fan can unite and express what we feel.

I will never ever lose my love for the club as I will never lose the love I have for my kids no matter how much they change going forward. I have always respected your views but always believed like me that the football team that plays in Cardiff and is called called Cardiff with a history of over 100 years meant as much to you as it did to me. I guess a change of colour and a change of badge changes things for you as a move away from Cardiff or a change of name would change things for me. Whilst Cardiff plays in Cardiff whether it be playing in blue, red or pink with polka dots and whether it has a carp on the badge or a bluebird or a dragon I will always love this club.
