Fistly may I say that I have neve r slagged off anybodies point of view regarding the rebrand ......but I did accept it myself and yes I would still be happy if we were midtable after all I did buy my s/t before the season started so there was no way to tell how we would perform ............but I'm also not daft enough to think that we are top of the table because we are now in red ..........that is soley down to the work ethic of our manager and his team.....and after 37 seasons of support its lovely to see and if I now have wear a red shirt to show my loyalty then so be it .....

Its better than possibly having no side to support because that was the direction we were heading imo

You say you are not daft enough to think that we are top because we play in red? Think again....

No - we are top because our already decent championship squad was added to by the additional DEBT of 10 million quid for wages and transfer fees eclipsing all our rivals, a gift from VT for FORCING the red dragon rebrand on us, after doing a non negotiable U turn on us. WE SHOULD BE TOP after that.

I refrain from using the word sell out but as a fan base we rolled over on Tuesday.

Call me paranoid but that sent a big green light for more changes.

We are in the same position then, what is the problem? We both appreciate what Tan has done for us, we both want to support the team, we both do not like the rebrand and we have both renewed our season ticket. I didn't take a scarf on Tuesday but the reality is most fans did. They have accepted and embraced the red as a fanbase, time for the minority to get over it, draw a line under the ordeal and move on.

I couldnt give a f**k what most "fans" did.
I dont want to draw a line under it. 10 men running around in red shirts I could just about accept but 20,000 red lovers I cannot.

Is that why some of the most ardent anti reds who have described the rebrand as "Disgusting" and declared CCFC to be dead have signed up for another year coincidentally because we are top of the league?

:old:

What a load of bollocks. No one wants CCFC to die you fool. I'd be renewing my season ticket even if we got relegated.

Mid table is still better than Pompey or non existant. Tan SAVED CCFC, doesn't anyone see that?

No he didnt save us he added 10 mill at least to the debt, we would have had an awful stressful bumpy fall without his money but , I am no money expert, my opinion is we would be still playing football in the championship this season in blue as bluebirds, and not dressed as a foreign countries plaything. Am I grateful for his money? Yes, I was until he started messing around with our heritage and created a Harlem Globetrotters for his people back home.

I wouldn't do it.

But...These people have had months of being called sellouts and a disgrace to the history of the club.

Some of the emo bullshit (see annis's self stickied sobathon) on this forum over the past few weeks has been pathetic imo. Suck it up and either get on with it or try and change things. Crying into into your keyboards isn't going to change anything.

People seem to have gone from angry and defiant to suicidal whinging dbags because some people took a free scarf.

Works both ways. What do you expect mocking and laughing at others telling them if they
cant lump the red why do they renew?

I'm fully supportive of VT and am pro-change, but anyone who behaves in the way you've outlined is completely out of order.

However, as to what I'd do if we were to become unsuccesful, I was there when we were in the lower leagues and would still be there if we got relegated - I've supported Cardiff all my life and nothing is going to stop me now.

I can't manufacture a feeling I don't have about the colour blue and the old badge - the badge has changed many times in our history and this is just one more change as far as I am concerned. The fact that we play in our national colour with our national emblem as our badge is fine with me. The dragon was the centrepiece of the badge my grandad saw us win the Cup final with, so it also has history, as well as the bluebird.

However, I can see how strongly others feel about the changes, and I have always had sympathy for people who feel this way, and the main thing that I want is for all our fans to come to some common ground and support the team.

I do however feel that whilst I'm in a minority at the moment on the messageboard, the silent majority of fans feel very similar to me, as witnessed on Tuesday night - I don't think all these people are sell-outs, and these kind of comments that I've seen some posters use are very unhelpful, in my view - but I'm definitely not going to resort to name calling myself in the opposite direction, however much provocation there is.

I was called a sell out on here long before i started mocking some of the anti rebrand fans some think they are some kind of special fan that can call other fans sell outs and plastics.
I cant see why someone would want to renew if they hate it or dont enjoy watching the team play in red i realise its hard just to stop but what will they do if we stay red for say the next 10 seasons?
The day i stop enjoying going to games and hate it as much as others claim they do i woudnt renew.. MY OPINION..

Who says you cant enjoy the football and still hate the rebrand?

Its not difficult to do two things at once.

Ahh I misunderstood, I apologise. Well the club may be on the up, but it's starting to look like a completely new club, and in that sense the Cardiff City I grew up to love is dying.

Where have i said premiership at all costs? but ive been called a sell out and soul seller even though this is my 30th season. I would have renewed regardless of league position so its not premiership at all costs for some..
Red kit red seats or red whatever does not bother me but i'd rather we stayed in blue and maybe we will go back to blue but until then im enjoying going to games i dont hate red and i wont let it spoil my match day but im no plastic or sell out either..

I'm on a wind up mate. But I still believe that most of the 'pro-reds' are glory hunters and just want to see Premier League football so they're willing to accept it.

Some are some are not no doubt. Ive had my fun days watching the city over the years but now as long as my son and daughter enjoy it then enjoy it.
Maybe my passion for the game has gone over the last few years so it doesnt bother me as much or ive mellowed who knows..
