Manager Malky Mackay reassures Cardiff supporters after defeat
Malky Mackay has reassured Cardiff City fans following the midweek home defeat to Brighton.
Cardiff's lead over second-placed Hull at the top of the Championship was cut to five points after losing 2-0 to Brighton.
The defeat ended a nine-match unbeaten run which had seen the Bluebirds open an 11-point lead at the top of the division in late January.
"I've got great empathy with our fans," Mackay said.

“It's about keeping steady and keeping focused on what you're doing yourself, not what other people are doing”
Malky Mackay Cardiff City manager
"All I would say is stay strong [and] stay with us because we've got very professional people working here.
"We're working very hard every day to make sure we try and get where we want to be.
"We've got to make sure that we keep looking forward.
"It's good copy to talk about where everyone is, but really I will be doing that when there's three games to go.
"It's about keeping steady and keeping focused on what you're doing yourself, not what other people are doing."
Mackay said he was happy with the way his side played against Brighton despite suffering only their second home defeat of the season.
And the Cardiff manager added he did not feel the need to assess the defeat any differently to previous games this season.
"I don't do inquests," Mackay added. "We debrief after every game whether we win, lose or draw.
"It's about being professional and doing it properly - looking at the good points and looking at the points that aren't so good.
"We created enough chances to win three games. Had we not created chances, that's when you say 'right we need to do something different'.
"We've spoken about it, analysed it and now we head towards Wolves."
Mackay said he would not be taking Sunday's opponents Wolves lightly, despite their position in the Championship's bottom three.
Cardiff will once again be without young defender Ben Nugent for the trip to Molineux.
"Ben Nugent's still got the dead leg so will not be involved in the squad," Mackay said.
"That apart, we should have everyone fit from Tuesday night."

It's affected the team so much that we are top of the league and have been for months. It must the be getting to the players, we have lost two home games all season for f**k sake. Poor players.

So who actually bankrolls the team?
Does the team or management look unsettled?
The fans may be unsettled but that's quite a different thing.
Do you think the fans should unsettle the team?

I really find it pointless doing it at any game this season, he ent going to change his mind during the season.

Tan is the catalyst for this. He came up with the rebranding and went through with it. The rest are just causative factors. Keep prodding a dog when its already feeling down and eventually it will bite you. Tan on Tuesday prodded the dog again with this scarf bollocks and now it wants to bite back his defenders are up in arms.
He's the catalyst for all this and the rest are just factors that branch off from that initial state.

He owns the dog and quite frankly he can do what he likes, aren't dogs meant to be loyal to their owners too? You can bite back all you like, the damage is down. James, if only you had so much fight in you when it mattered most last summer, instead you embraced the rebrand and pretended to be a Serie A scout.
We could have done with this last May, now it's far too late.

Still not the point though. Fans are blaming each other which is what Tan wants. Divide and conquer is his method and its working brilliantly. He doesn't even need to defend his actions anymore as he has a staunch protective fan base who do it for him who will stop any opposition from the blue supporters. I agree the damage is done and there is more to follow and people are in for more shocks.
It's got to the point where I may have to consider your approach because there is no other method of fighting this. There is a wall of roughly 20,000 red fans in between the blues and the club now and us who want the blue back are fighting a losing battle. A battle we won't win. Shocking, but true.
I keep thinking of ways to combat this but Tan has everything covered.

It's people like you that bit the plastic pill that got us into this mess. Barnett you have always been pro red until last week, you rested on your laurels when everyone else was against it. Your just going against the grain to cause a commotion and turn this site into a warzone, it's blatantly obvious. You were pro red when everyone was calling for the blue and when people began to realise it ain't all that bad and public opinion shifted you went against the grain.
Shame you didn't have this fight in you when it all began and mattered most, now it's too late. Plus you only go to two games a season so a boycott from you is nothing.
