A stadium full of red now, but hardly passionate fans. "We play in red, so that's why we wear red" is now the motto. But what about singing (passionately) about it? Where are the chants of "The reds are going up" etc? And if people aren't singing that, then I want to know why not? Please, someone?

I could never understand why we sang the blues are going up....we're the bluebirds,

One thing I will say is we seem to be a follow someone else sort of crowd, yes we do have a couple of original chants,

( ill be there springs to mind ) but I would say we feel more comfortable following than leading, and that's half our problem this season....out in front in the league and maybe out in front on the rebrand.

Who knows history may show that we were the pioneers of the 21 century.

Lets get some new songs for next season and let's get behind the whole thing,

PS I've always been a glass half full sort of guy.

Its called moral values and a great lesson to teach your kids. Perhaps you think its ok to abandon your values, beliefs and principles at the prospect of someone giving you a £2 scarf but children might benefit later in life if they understand that although you may get a free gift, the trade off is that at the same time you have morally bankrupted yourself in the process. Sermon over :ayatollah:

As if its morally ok to abandon your beliefs, values and principles for a free £2 scarf  It would not surprise me if some fans would even consider stop chanting bluebirds inside the stadium if Tan offered them a free pie at half time. :ayatollah:

Their morals/beliefs/values might not be the same as yours, therefore they wouldn't have abandoned them.

Morals, values etc.....I just want to remind you that at the end of the day.....it's a game, in the scale of things it's not that important.

I'm sorry but what a load of bollocks. How is it "morally wrong" to wear a free scalf given to you by the club you support? It was a free scalf with a chance to win a season ticket for free its a great idea. Just because you don't agree with it means everyone else has to.

Your so called scarf did not bare the beloved club name and the club emblem (the bluebird is missing). The scarf did not have anything in common with us so you might as well have waved a red sock in the air. I still say that some fans are so morally bankrupt that they would stop chanting Bluebirds alltogether if Tan wished it especially if he sweetened the deal with the promise of a free half time pie. :ayatollah:

The bluebird was on there. Its up to other fans what they do regardless if they have a different opinion of you and I.

No bluebird on the scarf, just to recap the colour of a bluebird is blue. :ayatollah:

Do you really think the club are going to spend more money adding a tiny bit of blue onto 20,000+ scalfs which they are handing out for free?

That bit of blue as you dismiss it as, has been our emblem for years so if you are so agaist it then do not chant bluebirds when you next see us score. :ayatollah:

Christ talk about twisting my words. I am trying to explain it as a logical point. The club are not going to waste more money then they need. I knew exactlly what tan was after and it was simply to get the image out that the rebrand was working. It disgust me as much as you but I'm not having a hissy fit over it calling fellow fans "morally bankrupt" over a poxy scalf. I just want to enjoy the football and talk about it on here

Ok then lets get back to the topic of the thread. The passion of the red fans, now there is a contradiction.Since we went red the atmosphere has suffered and Tans scarf bribery certainly did not improve the mood. :ayatollah:
