Bit of a strange one that.
Are the loan notes any closer to being paid?

Who cares right now? If we are signing players it means we are moving forward.
The loan notes have no significance whatsoever. Let those involved sort it out.

Well done to Tan by the way... Mike Hall gone :D The egg chasers are being forced out :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I care, that's why I asked :o

I'm pleased we are signing players but it would be good to see Langston gone and for good.

Won't happen in the championship mate! IF promoted, we will see progress IMO.

Hull must be favourites as he has already played there before--but lets hope --he would score goals

Big money will be needed about 3 million I say

One of him and Maynard would have to go then next year as they are too similar

Sorry for my tone there. My apologies

what I mean is. All the Clubs historic debt is being dealt with slowly but surely.
Langstone is the biggest, but given where the Club is right now I think its time
we realised Tan has got it all sussed. I'd love to see it all done and dusted too
but in the meantime... We are top of the league and apparently making all the
right signings to stay there. So for right now.. Langstone doesnt matter.

It is in the balance at the moment and certainly not a done deal, Hull are very interested in signing Campbell as well.

I will post more as and when I get a call.

I also understand that City will appoint a new Malaysian director, from Vincent Tan's Berjaya Group and that 2 directors will no longer hold their positions.

One going will be Mike Hall and the other is the relatively new director Stephen Owen-Conway, the latter is the QC that was brought in to try and settle the Langston Loan notes.

At the moment the information I have received is limited and again as I hear more I will post on here.

That's great news, thank you Carl

Sunderland AFC>SAFC news

Sunderland striker set for Cardiff move

Fraizer Campbell

Published on Thursday 17 January 2013 13:15

FRAIZER Campbell is in talks with Cardiff City over a permanent move to the promotion-chasing Championship outfit.

The 25-year-old drove down to Wales on Wednesday evening to discuss a potential move to the Bluebirds, who are also tracking Bolton Wanderers’ England Under 21 striker Marvin Sordell.

Campbell is out of contract this summer and Sunderland have yet to indicate they are interested in extending his stay at the Stadium of Light.

The former Manchester United striker, bought by Steve Bruce in the summer of 2009 for £5m, rising to £6m, has had his career at Sunderland wrecked by two cruciate ligament injuries but has been a regular feature on the Black Cats’ bench this season.

He is able to talk to interested clubs in the last January transfer window before his contract expires and the trip to Cardiff suggests Sunderland are ready to cut their losses on one striker as Martin O’Neill pursues the signing of a replacement.

Have to disagree . Hull failed to clinch his signature after the loan and we are now offering a permanent contract.

Not really Maynard cost west ham 2m when he was out of contract and he was coming from a struggling championship club.

2.5m is a hell of a lot of money for an unproven prem striker who is out of contract in 6 months.

I'd be very happy if this comes off.

We paid 1million for Etien and he hasn't progressed as much as we would have liked. 2.5m on a player that will score goals for fun in this league is a good bit of business I think. Just remember we're not in the prem yet..

true, however we aspire to be in the prem, so you have to weigh it into the equation.

I agree mate. Maybe with the service we would provide for him he could set the prem on fire. Bellamy' noone' smith and whitts all setting him up could end up being very prolific for us
