He was Hull's top scorer in the Prem the year they went up
He never played for Hull in the prem! Went on loan to Spurs that season (where he was sh*t) as part of the Berbatov deal.
He was however their top-scorer in the championship the previous season

So how much is Campbell likely to cost if his contract ends in the summer as I think I've seen elsewhere?

Now this really would be a class signing

Sorry iPad typing, I meant the year they got promoted. to the Prem.
I get why people would be underwhelmed his goal scoring record is meh, injury record worse. But on his day I still think he is quality, he's there with Danny Wellbeck, Yaya Toure, Lennon, Pienaar, Sidwell, Fletcher and others that I just enjoy as players.
Being here and effective is something else, but I think he's -ish- what we need.

I Bleed Blue wrote:I agree with James, I actually would prefer Sordell. Malky's worked with him and knows his strengths and weaknesses, he's a pacey striker with a good shot on him, tall and can hold the ball up well. Campbell is similar to Maynard, if we were to be promoted look at the similiarities. Not to mention we have Mason as well. I think a lot will be disappointed if we do sign him, we were expecting a target man but we're being linked with a 'poacher' whose got one Premier League goal this season?
According to Wiki Campbell is 5ft 8 Sordell is 5ft 10, so Sordell isn 't that tall.

i would rather sordell or jerome as well. Campbell clearly good enough at this level, but never really done it at prem level.
Having said that, none of the strikers we have been linked with have done it at prem level, but i suppose that doesnt mean they wont.

Campbell will get goals a plenty IF he stays injury free.
That concerns me

He's only played 265 minutes of football this season and his knees are suspect but i think Malky and the management team will do the same remarkable job on him as they are doing with Bellamy.
