What i mean is, no one is happy with whoever is in charge

10 points from 3rd is fantastic

I remember the QPR promotion season, they played some dire football but got the points to get them up- were on way to doing the same.

At the end of the season, people dont remember performances, they just remember the points

And as much as I defend DJ they got proved right

Don't get me wrong, i'd love to be proved wrong but as the thread title says.... Malky is too stubborn!

Looking through your posts and every single one of them slags off Malky.....every one!

You and Angelis should create your own forum where you can wank each other off whilst prodding needles in a Malky doll

Yeah sorry, but the all the fist pumping just doesn't cut it with me to be honest. I wonder how many fist pumps it will take to get over your disappointment come May when Malky has cost us promotion.

I agree with you in principle but you just have to look at where QPR are now and where they were last season. That worries me a bit.

Malky wont buy rubbish

We know how he approaches and does his homework on signings :ayatollah:

What's worrying me is the parallels between this season and last, as the season goes on we stop playing football and start going direct, even when we don't have the personnel.

424, because when we play with Noone and Conway we have wingers, the central midfield get overrun, time in the winter month to go 433 and bring Kimbo into the central area.

But does he really? Can you say that with any true conviction because Velikonja, Mutch and Kim, to me are not good enough for a promotion chasing team.

Im comparing Malky to the QPR promotion signings

Surely you can admit his buying hasnt be that bad

Re: Stubborn Malky

Mutch earlier in the season looked the real deal.

IMO too much buying for the future, we need to go out and buy a ready made centre forward. We missed Chris Wood who looked like a Malky centre forward.

Kim is quality as is Mutch. Both will be assets if we go up. Velikonija and Gestede... Not so much. Harris... Also poor.

I would put Malky's hit rate at about 80% for his ex Watford boys and 50/50 when he ventures further afield.

And another thing, if he's So diligent with the dossiers how are we looking at a header like Sordell who's addicted (???) to facebook and is dieing from homesickness somewhere that's not 4 hours from home!!??!

Gestede was a free so I'll let him go on that, although the new contract last summer still baffles me.

Velikonja is too soon to tell as he's barely played.

Harris is only 19 so again too soon to tell imo. Anyway, even if he never makes it with us we might be able to get him up to a decent level and sell him for 200k.

I do tend to trust Malky on signings.

Re: Stubborn Malky

Sat Jan 12, 2013 7:57 pm

I thought Malky was anything but stubborn today actually. Gestede had a shocking first half and Malky reacted by subbing him. Noone had a poor game but he got clattered in the first 15 seconds and I am wondering if he ever recovered from it? Conway did loads of tracking back defensively and put his usual shift in, it's no coincidence Taylor's performances have picked up since Conway has started in front of him. But it was one of those games where nothing came off for Noone today, the majority of the time he got the ball he lost it, so I thought Malky was correct subbing him. It wasn't a great performance today but when you play poorly, the next best thing to do if you can't win the game is to make sure you don't lose it. It was a point gained and other results went for us, so we are now 8 points clear. We can't play well every game, we are not Barcelona!

Re: Stubborn Malky

Playing Rudy has disrupted any chance of us playing free flowing attacking football. Today was utter garbage from start to finish - it looked like two non league teams out there. If we play like that in the prem we will get massacred every week and fans will desert in droves. Yes, we are top of the league, yes results went in our favour, but we didn't create a single meaningful chance and have played pretty poorly for a while now. I've never left a game early in over 40 years but I came close today

Wouldn't have happened with DJ at the helm who ironically was criticised for far worse crimes of what Malky is doing.

:old:

Not a dig at you. But WHY o WHY do u go on and on and always compare with DJ? You don't think Malky is doing a great job here?

Other clubs have spent just as much or if not more than us... but they are not managing as well as Malky..the league table proves it!

I just don't share the opinion of the "In Malky we trust" brigade that he's the messiah. DJ got lampooned and abused by the fans every week for his stubborness and signings when Malky has done the same thing. I am not saying Malky is a poor manager because he's not but some fans are giving him an easy time, the very ones that wanted to drive DJ away.

:old:

Thanks for replying. Your opinions noted :ayatollah: .

I do agree DJ was not a good manager for us. - just proper unlucky missing out on promotions during his time here, other teams were just a little better than us!

For me I really appreciate what Malky has done so far and deserves the praises! I believe he will be able to take us up there this year.. guess I'm classed a red brigade! But I do think Malky is still learning..he obviously believes in certain players and can't please everyone with squad selections! But at same time..fans can't expect us to win every game!

Re: Stubborn Malky

In all fairness to Malky this is his second season, however DJ had 6 years and after 4 turned on anyone and everyone who dare say anything against him.

And besides bellamy Gunnerson and Hudson no one played really well today but we are still top by 8 points and 10 points over 3rd so not to bad. I do agree we need a striker

Sorry bill but compltely different circumstances between club dj took over and club malky took over

cannot compare. malkys been given a kings ransom this season.
