Rudy was shocking today. On the bench from here on in I think.
Sat Jan 12, 2013 7:24 pm
He's started 2 matches get over it. Helguson was shit for the last few games he started so got dropped, as I said I expect him to start next match

I could not believe last season malky renewed his contract acouple of weeks before the play offs . I thought mmmmmm, malky must know we aint going to go up, or dont want to go up because no way could he play premiership football. I just remember thinking how strange the timing was
Sat Jan 12, 2013 7:55 pm
I've always stuck up for Rudy as defenders don't like playing against him.
But sadly, today he looked lazy and as many have already commented, his timing for his headers were non league standard at best.
Unfortunately, because of the pathetic style Malky has City now playing with Turner and co content to either hoof it up field or pass it back to Marshall from the halfway line.
Until we start to play it on the floor (like we did so well against Blackburn) then I'm affraid Rudy is the best option.
Getting sick of this winning ugly stuff dished by Malky.
Our luck will run out. Ipswich were poor, but again not for the first time this season at the CCS City were out played.
Please Malky for the love of God....
1. Sign a striker with an eye for goal
2. Quit playing Whitts so deep
3. Bloody fine Turner if he hoofs it.
4. Play the ball on the floor.

I also always supported him, but today was the final realisation I was sooooooo wrong.
I have always thought Mason was underweight but his technical ability would compensate for his physical limitations (he is as slow as teddy Sheringham) but he is not ready to lead the line for a Premier league promotion chasing team. He needs to go out on loan and toughen up.
So that means we are left with Bellers, who at the moment is our team, and HH
We need a finished striker ASAP

I think at times it shows how valuable Kenny Miller was last season

Miller is completely underrated by a lot of people on this forum.
His hard work at the front earned us no end of draws and wins and in my opinion it was his hard work that allowed Mason the space to get so many goals last season. This season Mason's looked a little lost without the support and link up play of Miller.
I would have loved to see how Miller would have done in this team.

I'm going to say something that many people will disagree with and I'm not even sure I agree with.
If we're going to have a lazy target man up front, might as well have one we know has talent. Jay Bothroyd on loan?
(Hides behind sofa and anticipates abuse.)

Spot on, Miller made so much space.

Well, well, well.
Been saying this for 18 months and get called all sorts because how dare I question Malkys judgement but not it seems everyone wants to jump on my anti rudy bandwagon.
hmmmmmmm.

Ipswich were not poor today they came to do a job and did it, and Rudy was poor today as were a few others but Rudy can not be the blame , I understand I am the minority that think it but Rudy will come good

I dont agree with you. He was shit today but so were most players. As I said he's only started 2 matches this season, 1 we won and 1 we drew. He's only starting cause Helguson had been shit for the last few games he started. Rudy is great for coming off the bench when we need to change things up. He's not the best player in the world and certainly nowhere near the best player in this championship.

Have to agree time for Malky to splash the cash

3rd division player if I'm really honest. If we do go up can you really see him worrying top defenders? Time I think to cut and run. Let him out on loan and if he finds his forn let him go.

Of course he wont be but we arent there yet are we. Even if we go up we can still offload him like everyother team has done

Call me optimistic, but I think he could be a good player one day, but I agree he's not there yet. Let him go out on loan IF we get in a target man, otherwise it would be a bit foolish. The fact he's starting some games tells us the squad would be weaker without him, regardless of what some people think of him.
First priority should be a striker who is proved at this level, even if it's only on loan...

Did you see gestade when the ball was chipped over the top,he was actually running facing goal ,ball behind him and he jumps up to header it unless he as eyes in the back of his head can,t see how that was going to come off.lol

krabb. your right. just because you 12ft 10inc doesnt mean your a good championship player. today of all days. he wasnt effective . even with his height, waste of space. cant even say a league 1 player
Sat Jan 12, 2013 10:15 pm
I rate Rudy, and obviously Malky does as well.
Sat Jan 12, 2013 10:36 pm
2 things, Whits playing like Joe Allen and we need a striker ASAP. Why wasn't Helgerson starting? Rudy is a million miles off a team looking to win the league and sadly so is Joe Mason.
Sat Jan 12, 2013 10:39 pm
I like Rudy and give him a chance..We need a striker and I think its back to the bench for him.
He has made a huge difference of the bench..
At the end Rudy deserved his place in the team after recent showings off the bench.. Helguson in next game.

Polo told Annis to keep the slating of Rudy up at the top of the list otherwise Polo would burn Annis's books.

The balls up to Rudy today were awful. If Rudy was left Marshall kicked it right and vice versa. I agree he isn't good enough but the distribution was awful.
In my opinion (that means nobody can disagree as its only an opinion), we need Whitts back at left midfield where he found himself once today and almost put in the killer ball. A fit Smith on the right with Noonie comming on as sub to run at tired players. Gunnar and maybe Kimbo ot Mutch if he can find some form in the middle. Helgar and Bellers up front.
Any transfer players may fit in to this.
Just saying ...
