Blah Blah

Two facts
1. The kit maker , design and colour have not been decided because its too early . Kit colours and badge designs do not have to be submited to the football league until june for the upcoming season and puma (if it is puma again havnt released there kit designsfor next year yet either which they allways do , look how many teams have the exact same kit as us !.

2. The malaysians wont go for a carp as the main symbol of city for obvious reasons . They are very superstitious people and in malaysian culture the carp is a symbol of learning/trying to better yourself/GOOD LUCK . The carp in there culture turns into a dragon once it has achieved its goal . With city already having a dragon on there badge which was there choice they would see that as a backwards step which would go against everything they believe in and have achieved here allready .
Like i said in another thread read the story of the carp and the golden gates and you will realise its bollocks.

No just took an interest into the people who run the club , if you did aswell you would realise what type of people the malaysians are and why they wouldnt choose a carp !
The story of the carp that jumps the golden gates is one of the most popular in there culture . Why do you think you see a carp golden gates and dragons in nearly every chinese or cantonese restaurant you go to ? how many golden gate chineses are there ?
Take an intrest into who runs your club and you might learn something KID

Unfortunately the majority of our fans are now like you and that's why Tan is getting away with it. If watching a successful team in red is all that matters to you, go and watch Man Utd you glory hunting plastic! I've been saying for months our blue away kit and Bluebird will go next, some of you laughed at me but now it looks like this is a strong possibility! I want my club back! :(

Plastic??? Lol

Wake up folks Football 2013 is franchise FC so deal with it or follow elsewhere. Look around all succesful clubs and you see the same, granted the rebrand was drastic but is aimed at far east and revenue raising.

How many on here bemoaning the changes bought club merchandise regularly? Wore blue to games? How many arrived early at the club and bought food/drink in the stadium and out money in the club??

Truth is the higher you climb the cost rises, the club isn't covering outgoings with current revenue streams hencpe looking to pastures new.

Plastic?? No just a realist.

My uncles cousins sisters auntys dog sometimes gets fed outside the club shop and he heard that we will have blue shirts next season.

Been looking at some of Tontegs posts, anti red yet wants money spent on players and premier league football, dumping mcnaighton in premier league etc.

You want success too but on your terms with no viable alternative to investment.

Your post just proves even further that you're a plastic. All you've gone on about in that post is about us needing to become franchise FC to be successful. Well personally, I put my clubs identity first before success and many others feel the same. I will not deal with this and follow elsewhere, I will not give in to you plastics who only care about watching successful football whatever colour/badge we have. All I care about is watching MY club who I grew up supporting and falling in love with and that's Cardiff City - the Bluebirds, WHATEVER THE LEVEL!

Same players, same manager, same stadium, same city, if you class the whole of a club as a kit colour and badge then im afraid your deluded.

Given perfect world id have stayed blue with same badge.

However to increase revenue our major benefactor sees potential in a re brand. If VT hadn't come along we could have ended up another Pompey. He saved us so i have no reason to mistrust his intentions.

VT has kept the creditors away, I will give him that. However, with the fact he has changed our colour and badge and with the possibility of our blue away kit and Bluebird getting removed altogether, how can you say you have no reason to mistrust his intentions? VT doesn't care about the fans or our club, he just cares about using us to make money.

I am the type of fan who puts my teams identity and tradition ahead of success. I would honestly rather be a Pompey fan, as my feelings are I would rather us struggle and battle as what we are - the Bluebirds playing in blue than succeed as something we're not - a red Malaysian franchise. This is just how I feel of course and I respect the fact you have differing feelings and emotions to me. I just don't understand how some fans can be fine with this simply because we are successful at the moment. But now you have said that in a perfect world, you would rather us stay blue with the same badge, I see you're not a glory hunter, so I apologise for calling you a plastic.

We will see if it's true tomorrow, I will go into the club shop and request to buy a blue City shirt and see what they say. I haven't been in the club shop this season, so it'll be very strange for me if there's only red shirts on display in the club shop. :o

What a childish post. It is my club, it is your club and it is every other fans club because without us fans putting money into our club, there would be no Cardiff City. Every chairman wants to make money from football clubs, but the majority of chairmen have the sense to realise if they want to make a success with their football club, they do not do something to divide and infuriate the supporters. Unfortunately, VT has decided to do this and I fear this is just the start. If VT goes much further, I'm hoping there will be a massive backlash from the fans. But unfortunately, it seems the majority of us will still be happy as long as we get to the Premiership. :(

Nonsense! We are fortunate to have a club to support these days he is a cracking chairman. A kit is a kit, a badge a badge, its the name that matters, the name and location!

Your favourite restaurant has new owners as the previous owners couldn't keep it running. The name of the restaurant stays the same, the location of the restaurant stays the same and the menu stays the same. With the new owners stepping in to keep the restaurant afloat, you're fortunate your favourite restaurant is still around, however, the new owners bring their own chefs in. These new chefs can't cook the food very well and your favourite meal in your favourite restaurant now tastes horrible. Your usual favourite meal now tasting horrendous means the experience of dining at this restaurant doesn't feel the same. Do you still continue going to this restaurant to eat because it's just the name that matters? From what you've said above, you're saying you would, but we all know that isn't true.

What I am saying is what VT has done, despite us still being Cardiff City, has partially ruined my experience of watching my local team.

Goodnight.

I wasn't going to post in this, but some of the comments here are astounding.

I used to think that we were a "proper" football club, with old fashioned values and respect for the game. The majority of posts on here represent the new brand of glory football - who gives a f**k what colour we wear, were top of the league.

To some of us, the club means more to them than just a bit of success.

The identity of the club has been taken away & looks to be further stripped this summer. The traditions of this fine club have been disrespected and I'm dead against it.

Cardiff City may be top of the league & 7 points clear, but it's not the same Cardiff City I fell in love with on the bob bank as an 8 year old.

To YOU that is all that matters ! To me the clubs identity is the bedrock on which everything else must be built. Our identity is our history, the clubs culture including our fans reputation perhaps, the colour we play in and the nickname which came from the colour of the jersey. That is what Cardiff City is to me and to many others. This, I would argue, is the most important thing to fans of ALL clubs. It's also a part of my identity

I disagree, badges change all the time for all clubs, clubs are recognised more through their home colours.
