If Michu does half what Bellers has done in the Prem, he'll do well.
Michu is probably the bargain of the season.

Swans will have to resist some good offers for their man.

Re: Michu

Fri Jan 11, 2013 9:28 pm

They are both on similar levels in my opinion but comparing them is stupid as they are completely different players. Bellamy got his move to Liverpool at around the same age Michu is now which you would say was his first big move. Whether Michu will reach the level Bellamy did in his prime is yet to be seen but he is going the right way about it at the moment so fair play to him.

Re: Michu

Wouldn't surprise me if spurs started sniffing around Michu. Their type of player, and exactly what they are missing this season.

Re: Michu

Fri Jan 11, 2013 10:20 pm

Bellamys premier record reads like this:-

Played 264
scored 72
Scores every 330 mins of football

Michus premier record reads like this:-

Played 20
Scored 13
Scores every 138 mins of football

The most Bellamy has managed to score in a single premier league season is 13... And in his 12 premier league seasons has only managed to break into double figures twice with 13 goals and then 10 respectively.

Michu has in fact got nearly a fifth of bellamys total premier league goal tally that was managed in 264 games.... In just 20.

Just some stats.

Bellamy flopped first time at Liverpool and flopped at Newcastle so could say he flopped his first two big chances.

Hughes, for all his managerial faults, kick started Bellers career for him at Blackburn first and then Citeh.

He could be the next better looking Andy Cole. That type of player who gets the goals. Not the quickest, or best in the air but, gets it in the net.

As for Bellamy.........definitely a top premiership player but, would only have premiership legend status if it was done consistently which, he didn't.

Hopefully that will change as he'll have 2 season in the prem with us before he retires!

Once again City Gent proves himself to be one of the most bitter and jealous posters on here.

In answer to your question, no doubt Bellamey WAS a very good Premier League player and is probably a legend up in Newcastle, Liverpool etc but that's just it he is a legend in with other clubs. At the moment he is a good Championship player for Cardiff whilst Michu is about to get a call up for the World and European champions following his performances for Swansea City.

Bellamey is a has been who came to you lot to be closer to his family and see out his career, massive difference between the two but dont let that stop you clutching at straws though.

I think he'll be a one season wonder, look at Papiss Cisse.

can't judge yet though

I agree with you on that but I was just saying in terms of big moves. Michu hasn't had a big move yet so whether he'll flop or not is still a question that needs to be answered.

He scored 15 goals in La Liga last season from midfield. Hardly a one season wonder.

I think Michu has been a fantastic buy and you can't but help congratulating the jacks on doing such a good bit of business. However, if you ask fans of any of the clubs Bellamy has played for, none of them wanted to see him leave which speaks for itself - most managers would have ben happy to keep him too. The guy is class and has proved it season after season at the top level. Michu has yet to do that. To call Bellamy a has been shows a total lack of knowledge of football or respect for one of Wales best servants in the past fifty years. Wouldn't expect anything else from those muppets though.

Bellamy is hated by coventry fans also disliked by newcastle fans, he has been disruptive at a lot of clubs, good player but nowhere near a great player.

So how much is he worth? :? any player who score's 20 plus goals in the pl today as i expect michu will do in worth £30 million. also he will still be under contract at the end of the season so if some big club wants him they will have to pay the big bucks. :)

Firstly he hasnt got 20 yet, secondly he has to do it more than once to command 30 million.

Hes also quite old and not a kid so id say 15 mil tops.

 carrol went for £35 million after one season in the championship and about 15 games in the pl, allen left swansea for £15 million after only one good season in the pl, and you cannot compare allen to michu. you say he is old he is only 26 ffs. And lets not forget £30 million to man city or chelsea is nothing.

Will he? How do you know that? Del Bosque told you?!

He's very good, but half a season in the prem isn't the sign that he's worth 30 million.

You mention that Caroll went for 35 million after dodging the same as Michu, look what happened to him!

The spanish manager has gone on record saying michu will play for spain next month, that's how i know that   caroll is not like michu on or off the pitch, and off the pitch is where carrol's problems come from.

Cisse's been mainly played on the wing this year in an attempt to accommodate Ba. May see more goals now Ba has gone and Cissse will in all likely be put back into the centre.

Carroll doing the same as Michu?

You do realise Michu nearly has the same amount of goals Carroll has in his entire prem career... In 20 games don't you? The most Carroll got in 1 prem season was 11. Michu has surpassed than and it's only just the new year.

I can see city gents opinion in the first post.

Yours says Carroll has done the same as Michu - he hasn't.
