You are mixing up 'this level' with 'modern day football' and they are completely different issues. For the record I do know about standing in bottom league tier terrances but you wouldn't know that would you.

Re: Ashamed

Sadly I agree with Bluebird since 1948.

How can a city fan want their own team to lose, granted the FA Cup would be a distraction for the first team players.

Some of the best games we have had in Ninian Park were FA Cup games, the best being beating Leeds 2-1 at home, when Leeds were high up in premiership and were still in European football at the time.

It was an excellent opportunity for the youngsters yesterday.....but I felt we should have played some fringe first team players like Mutch, Cowie and Gestede who have not had much game time.

This competition could have been ideal for players who were not in the starting XI to prove a point. Regardless what tournament we're playing in, league or cup, to want your own team to lose is disgraceful in my opinion.

However, there were some positives in the game; I feel Nugent, Declan John and Joe Ralls have a bright future at our club, and glad the club is holding on to them. Furthermore, it was also good to see McPhail back, he had a very good game, and a great opportunity to score, but an excellent save from the keeper denied him. His calmness and experience will be very important for our promotion campaign, and what ever your opinions of McPhail, hes a very important person to have around.

Sadly, we have also seen the negatives- whilst many argue Kadeem Harris had only recently returned from injury....hes had plenty opportunity to push for first team or prove his worth, sadly I dont think hes acheived the desired results to meeting championship standards, from what I have seen yesterday and in the development games. Hope that keeps the people calling him for first team football quiet for a while.

Etien I am still undecided, he knows where the goals are, and hes been amazing for the development squad, sadly didnt have any service yesterday.

But overall, I cant fault the youngsters who played yesterday, especially for most of them playing front of a large intimidating crowd......but thats it, they were youngesters who had no experience or lack of experience in first team football. This is what was missing around them yesterday. Look how effective Ben Nugent was when playing alongside Mark Hudson.

Why don't Wembley trips count? They're games? Didn't you say that you don't attend home games?

Sorry, but you can't have a pop at someone for not going to games, when you don't go yourself? :?

Nonsense. I go to at least one game per month. I am a student living away from Cardiff. Each trip costs me around £60-70 (ticket plus travel) so it hard for me to make every game when you factor in travel. Its about a 9 hour round trip as well from here to Cardiff. Money does not grow on trees pal.

That's fine, but you don't attend every game so can't really have a go at Adam for not going to every game.

The last 7 seasons before I came to university I was a season ticket holder and would happily have a season ticket now if I had the money.

London to Cardiff is less money as its a straight line plus you were probably in full time employment getting a wage whereas im in university. One thing I do know is you have not had a season ticket on a consistent basis. I have had one for seven years and once I finish university I will hopefully be getting one again. The thing is though, I have accepted that if we go up this year I am unlikely to get tickets next year and that suits me fine because those that made every game of this season deserve priority over myself.

Fair enough but he has never alluded to that fact has he? He gets enough stick on here about it and he's never said 'he cant afford it' so most will on that basis assume its down to choice or lack of genuine interest. I consider myself as 'old guard'.

I CHOSE to go yesterday knowing full well we wouldn't be playing a full strength side.

The team we put out SHOULD have been good enough to beat Macclesfield. In fact, for
most of the game I dont think Macclesfield did f**k all. So a few of our youngsters will
have had a wake up call. Some will rise to the challenge and improve, some won't.

Our main priority has to be promotion this season so Yesterday was a perfect opportunity
to see what our youngsters were like in a real competitive match.

Ashamed? Cry me a f*cking river. If your old guard you will be accustomed to Cardiff City
