not selling out is pretty crap, although its the week after christmas and i think the club got the pricing wrong aswell sadly. realistically i doubt we ever had more than 25-30k watching us at least once a season pre prem (i mean in total, not on the same day) and like your fans yday, the cup isnt much of a priority for us compared to the league. even ML thought that judging on his team selection.

i dont see what all this fuss about attendance is really anyways. just seems a bit like straw clutching to me. neither of us have a massive core element of fans

So qualifying for the Champions League for the last 15 years does not mean that Arsenal are not a top 4 Premiership team does it?

Tell me what criteria you use for classifying someone as a top 4 Premiership team? Fool.

No excuses. These supposed fans that are waiting to see them, yet they can't sell out.

I also read somewhere that it was the biggest away attendance ever at the Library. The Arse had an entire end which must be about 4,000 (at a guess).

Still, it wasn't as if they were playing a top 4 Premiership team was it . . . . .

Just under 3000 arsenal fans they were given 3000 a few empty seats in theyre end, also not 2000 empty seats around 5-600

Of course there's a need for a ground expansion. we've sold out our last 30 league fixtures.

I was the only one of ten of my mate's who are all season ticket holders who went today, the row we always sit in had people i have never seen before, so a lot of new face's, but also a lot of season ticket holders missing.

to put this into perspective watford are 6th in your league , would you have payed £30 to watch cardiff v watford in a 3rd round cup game today ,

If I had waited for two years to get a chance to see my beloved team, yes.

That's my point - this supposedly waiting list has been there for two years.. If this list existed, then surely they would have snapped up a chance of going today, against a top team. No?

So, your only criteria for being a top 4 Premiership club is that at ANY given time, you must be in the top 4.

On that basis, if Man Utd drew their first game of the season, they wouldn't be classed as a top 4 Premiership club. You have lowered yourself to the same level as your mate. Another fool on this board.

I told you lots of season ticket holders missing today, and a lot of new face's. Also arsenal in a cup a few years ago would of been huge for swansea, but didn't seem like a big game today.

No excuses today not as if it was a week night so the kids couldnt go because of school errm Weather another no weather was ok ermmm come on lets hear them from the thousands that cant get tickets every week but chose not to when they could have today ?

as has already been explained a lot of season ticket holders said bollocks to it today due to forking out £500 for a season ticket then being asked to pay £30 for a 3rd game yet we still had 16k home supporters i really don't see the problem

Gives those who aren't able to get a ST because of this high demand to go, does it not? The way you lot make it out, that stadium should have been sold out today by the people who cannot get a ST.

In fairness it is a reasonable crowd given its just been xmas and football is expensive (away trip to Brum cost me about £100 for me and kids).

Most people on here are using it as a chance to have a pop at that idiot swamplad (iq69) who seems to have a huge chip on his shoulder regarding crowds and he struggles with the concept that a championship team has better crowds than a premiership team. He had a pop at us taking 700 to Macc yesterday to watch our reserves when both our previous games saw 2400 travel to Leicester and Brum.

but nobody knows how many season ticket holders didn't go for arguments sake if 10,000 season ticket holders didn't , about 9,750 new supporters went to a 3rd round fa cup game , without knowing the figures you don't know do you , arsenal are no big deal at the moment really so that would be fantastic

TBH i never have a go at cardiff's crowds because you are a well supported club , so it seems pointless when we have everything else on you to go own that road ;)

Since xmas i have spent following the swans..£429 season ticket for next season £30 for today's game £25 for chelsea home in the cup, £32 reading away ticket, £37 fulham away ticket, plus travel cost's. It can be very expensive.
