Our identity is our image. Our name is the only thing we still have. I doubt we'll be the bluebirds for much longer.
Can I just comment the fact that your upset about the colour change but why have an avatar of a player wearing the shirt?
Because they're the team I support.
But you dont want them to go up because the shirt is redCouldn't make it up.
Change your avatar mate

Which is all true. But some people need their priorities sorted.
Go tell someone after a tsunami that your football team has a shite badge and it riles you so.

Because its still there. No one can ever stop me talking about such a proud moment in the clubs history. No one can ever stop me remembering what this club achieved in blue. No one can ever stop me remembering the great moments on the terraces at Ninian. Everyone of you live and breath a bit of Cardiff City and you have the power through word of mouth to pass on our great tradition, history and image. Just because we've entered another chapter in the book it doesn't mean the rest of the book isn't there. There are plenty of chapters that preceded this one and there will be many more to follow.
I haven't sold out. I wanted investment because it kept the club financially safe for now. I didn't want the hard work of players like Whittingham and Hudson who have been loyal flushed down the toilet after their dedication to the cause. Im not about to let a colour get in the way of two loyal people achieving what they set out to do. They are human after all. Imagine how crushing it would be if we went through and they couldn't finish the job? Whitts and Hudson love Cardiff and have said it is their home (we must appreciate that) so that in itself tells you just how much it means to them as well. If us going up in red means that they get to finally finish the job they have stuck around to do then red it is.
Anyone assuming I sold out for my own gain to see Prem teams is deluded.
1) I haven't got a season ticket as im in university so wont be able to renew for next year
2) I will most likely be on work experience abroad next year so won't be able to go to games either
The fact is, Premiership or Blue Square, I'll Be There! (as a supporter whether its at a game, on tv or radio depending on where i am, what i can afford etc.).![]()

You would sacrifice promotion to the top flight which would probably see copius amounts of investment into the club and the city for finishing 1 place outside of the play offs. This red/blue divide has gone on too long, I follow Cardiff City not the colour red or blue. Unless they try to change the name of the club I have no qualms with what is happening at the club. Do you not think it is best to have a team to support or run the risk of the Malaysians walking away thus posibly leaving the club in financial ruin, leaving us with no club to follow. Which is what the likes of Sam and Ridsdale got us into and we are finally seeing investment coming to fruition on and off the pitch.
Don't get me wrong I admire you for sticking to your morals/beliefs, but to wish the club finished 7th in blue and not go up in red defeats the whole object of competition. I am in my 40th year of supporting city, attending games in Div 4 etc with a mere 4/500 (if lucky) on the bob bank huddled together underneath the tv gantry during the depths of cold dark winters. Travelling upto north yorkshire on a tuesday night just to see us play the likes of Darlington etc, which is where we would end up if lucky without the rebrand. I think I have done my fair share of following and for me I would love to see my beloved CARDIFF CITY play in the top flight in red or blue.

Kits change every year, yes the colour changed but we still play in blue?
The identity is our name, our players and and the club itself, not a logo or colour. Otherwise we've lost our identity more than once![]()
