Rubbish.
People having a go at those who are boycotting are just as guilty as the boycotters having a go at the "sell outs".
If you're against the rebrand, like me, you can't win.
If you go, you're a sell out, if you don't - you're not a "real" fan.
Many feel its not the same Cardiff City. I'm inclined to agree with them.

Correct, I watched the passion and the joy in our players faces at Blackburn when they ran over to us at Blackburn, incl Bells who showed it 110%, that to me, means a lot.
By the way when I was in School, we had to pick a pen name and mine was Billy Ronson, loved him![]()

Hmm Well I dont feel a sell out, I hate the red, the new badge, BUT I LOVE CARDIFF CITY, its my local club, where I was born, supported them for 40 consecutive years, yes I am hurt by the stripping of our identity, but what could the minority of us do. I was not going to walk away, I love my football and my Club and as long as they are still the BLUEBIRDS & CARDIFF CITY I WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THEM, I beg and prey we will get our identity back sooner than later.
I started to feel my passion come back again at Blackburn away on the Friday night, when only 600 travelled, saw all the faces I knew from past and new, sang our hearts out and the players loved us, that to me meant a lot. BLUEBIRDS. Of course I still want Tan to give us our identity back and let us all be united as one and storm the Premier League, 51 years our club has waited, lets be there in BLUE. But I am not going to walk away.

Be proud of yourselfs. This is the year you tossed away 100 years of cardiff city history to get to some wanky sky wonderland where gary lineker frowns at us in the last couple of minuets of match of the day.
Enjoy getting ripped right off at old trafford, and fly your malaysian flags high and in the air.

That quote and ones similar have been said over the years by fans for longer than I care to remember.
Now as our club Cardiff City sees its success on the pitch we see slight turmoil on the terraces, regarding our club colours and our club badge.
Are we sell outs have we sold our history?
As far as I know our history is still there regardless of what colour we play in, have we lost the right to say we have won the FA Cup 1927 because of a shirt? League Cup finalist, FA Cup finalist, successes in Europe. Its all still there.
Ill follow my club through thick and thin, whatever happens ill be there regardless of the circumstances. Its not a punchline it means something.
Are our fans sell-outs? No id say we have some of the most loyal fans in the country because our response to our recent turmoil just shows where our loyalties lie and whats important and thats supporting our club through thick and thin regardless of the circumstances

Most pathetic post I've read in a long time.If you think that I wanted to break my family's 90 year connection with watching the club you are utterly deluded.
I don't necessarily regard fans who hate the rebrand but keep going to matches as sell outs,as they simply find it too hard to give up BUT any long standing City fan that has embraced the rebrand and with it the destruction of our long standing identity is indeed a Sell out. They should hang their heads in shame. They have sold their own club down the river, the ultimate act of treachery as a football supoorter.

Stop trying to give yourself some self importance FFS. If you don't like the direction the club is heading in act maturely and be done with the club in all aspects instead of coming on here whinging like a spent pillock because you can't get your own way. Accept the direction the club is heading. You have two options. 1) Act like an adult and continue going. (2) Act like an adult, sever your ties with the club because you are disillusioned with the club.
But no, instead, you would rather stick around and stir things up and wind people up. You call us Tan apologists but you know for a fact we're not. He''s made a decision and thats it. We are going with what we have got at the moment.
The simple fact is we love our club and a colour is not going to break our love for the club. You loved your club because of the colour and tradition, not for what it actually is. Don't lash out at us for your faults.
It is much more than colour or tradition. It is a club that is based in the community, does loads for the local people, its a place that brings people together as one every match day, keeps relationships going, a place to meet great people who share a common interest, its a place where kids can go to stay off the streets and do something they enjoy instead, its a place where families can now go and watch a football match without having to fear for their safety, its a place where players put on the shirt and want to play for the club week in week out because they are proud to do so, etc.
Cardiff City is more than a frigging colour and tradition and if you think its not then sorry but the club does not need fans like you.
Id rather thousands of kids wear the red shirt with pride in the local area and be happy and have a laugh rather than us go back to blue just to appease the selfish lot like yourself. Also, in reply to your bullshit on CCMB, I don't think I've sold my club down the river at all as the club is still based in Cardiff and is still called Cardiff City FC.

Mmm what do you class as embracing it? I dont care one way or other. 45 yrs a fan does that make me sellout? Or the many thousands who dont care about colour. Are they sellouts? Its a stupid phrase considering fans didnt have a say in anything.

I agree with you mate. The rebrand is great for the youngsters of this club and they're the ones that matter. We've had plenty of time supporting City ourselves and as long as the youngsters are happy with a red Cardiff City thats all that matters. Its a new chapter in the clubs story.

Then im done with football altogether. I wont be on here winding up those that continue to support the newer club though. I'll just find something else to do on my weekends and wish them the best. 'Cardiff City FC' That to me means 'a football team in the city of Cardiff' which is what it represents and thats how it should stay. That and relocation are the two things that would mean i'd walk away. I respect your opinion and stance on it but just think if you've had enough why not walk away?

why is the rebrand 'great'for the youngsters..? surely if we kept blue then Craigs daughters would want the blue home top.

New image, something different, refreshed brand, people like newer stuff, just like fashion really, etc. a lot of people like the latest thing that is in. A new image also gives them a chance to get involved and then 40 years down the line they can say they started supporting the club since the new badge and that will be the marker for the start of their affiliation of the club. Harder for us older lot to understand and must be harder again for those older than me because we've become so used to blue but i've just stayed open minded on it and thought 'what would i like if i was a kid?' new toys at christmas etc, kids want the newest things dont they so easy to understand why they'd want the new red shirt. The amount of red shirts I've seen near where I live in Cardiff and even up here and in West Wales is ridiculous. I never thought it'd sell so well but it has because people want something different.
