We are not going to win every match this season so a point away from home against a side who were clearly better than us on the night is a point I am happy to take - when considering the season total points.
But our performance tonight was woeful in so many areas, crossing especially, and there clearly needs work to be done.

They looked like they wanted it more, but they didn't get it.
Lad was onside possibly so unfortunate not to get goal.
Wintle was poor, Pillock and Tanner also...
Not much to write home about!
Point away so on to next

We are being outplayed not bullied.
Yes completely outplayed because they’ve been more physical and pressed us hard and that’s given them the right to outplay us.
It’s as plain as day.
That’s not bullying. It’s been pace and good passing.
The worst tackle has been from our left back.
Bullying implies something that this game hasn’t been.
Where have I even mentioned the word bullying?
They’ve been more physical especially in the first half. From that they’ve been much the better team.
There’s no debate on that.

A point's a point and we'll have a fair bit of inconsistency for a bit. But seeing Isaac do more in 5 mins than Willock in 85 tells a story. His lack of impact at both ends hurt us. We can't spread a defence if we offer nothing down one side

That was pathetic - as bad as anything we played last season! If that’s the football we can expect for the rest of the season that it’s going to be a very long season. What was the defence doing? If Kpakio is a full back, then he should stay in that position and not wander - NG had enough criticism for going forward but nothing like that. Kpakio could have cost us that game - he was awful! I pity the 2000+ supporters who travelled all that way to watch that rubbish.

Yeah sorry I misread what you wrote thought you were saying we were bullied.
I’ve Willock’d that reply

For the last few years the output from our wide forwards has not been good enough. Willock never looks interested and spends half his time adjusting his shorts..
lawlor and chambers can’t play as a cb pairing in this league, they’re not physical enough to get the ball clear, teams will just keep pumping it forward and look for second balls.
But fair play we didn’t cave and we somehow got a point..

you weren'tTHAT bad.

Wow ... talk about chalk and cheese. One good performance and one shite one. We DESPERATELY need some CAHONES in this team.
Much too indecisive around the box. Most of the build up play was too slow and there was an unwillingness to shoot. Tan would be right

to criticise them tonight.
We REALLY NEED the following:
Experienced uncompromising CB
An experienced CM who can pick a pass & take the pressure off Reuben.
A left winger who will create chances and battle for the team. PLEASE tell Willock to pi$$ off.

I’ve never rated Bagan and he’s not doing anything to change my opinion.
Three out of our four wide players (Willock, Tanner and Bagan) are just not good enough even at this level !!
Without Wintle and Joel Colwill we’d be out of this game by now!!

I never thought we would walk this league, but that was so frustrating to watch
Agree with the above comment that we weren't bullied as such , but outplayed .
very poor

On the positive side we still havent conceded a goal from open play - quite how I don't know - but it's something positive to take away

On reflection after a really disappointing performance, it really emphasised the importance of the home games this season. With the fans behind them, we’ve seen how this team can play. We can bully sides with our pace and intensity. Away from home in unfamiliar stadiums with unknown players, we are still lacking confidence. That’s something BBM will have seen and something the players, particularly senior players, will know and see.
I thought Kpakio had another really good showing given his age and experience, great from him. For all the flack Willock is getting, he was making good runs and getting into good areas. Terrible final product though but that’s an easy fix (you’d hope). Same could be said for Tanner. Particularly disappointing from him given he signed a new contract this week. He’ll feel that disappointment too. He wants to do well.
I’m undecided about the debutant but a clean sheet is a clean sheet, even if we were lucky with the two disallowed goals.
Fish did well and the substitutes generally made a positive impact on the game.
Both Robinson and Salech struggled with poor service, however I thought the PV CB did a good job on Salech. He’ll have to get used to being roughed up in this league.
PV home kit very nice. Nice to see a shirt without a main sponsor for a change.
Onwards and upwards. We remain unbeaten.
