BU is a movement that covers the whole spectrum, sorry but if we had a group for every individual opinion we would have about 500.

If you want blue back then the BU is for you, Tan in or Tan out all members are welcome. Obviously you will be tested to see if you have a backbone before joining

Been following City since 82, plenty of times when you needed not just some backbone but some balls too. I don't need any f*cking testing ;)

Even if you were sucessful, you'll probably find the new owner as ruthless if not more so than the present one. As for wanting "a say" in club affairs just makes me laugh. The billionaires capable of buying the club haven't got where they are by being bullied or pressured by the discontented few.
Until the day you find someone (and I hope that you do), we should all be grateful to Tan for being THE ONLY ONE who has had the balls to stump up the cash to keep the club running. People have short memories of administration or even going out of existence.

Good luck with the search. There must be a queue of people....

You have a very short or selective memory. We could have got rid of Tan and not faced administration. When Tan reversed his descision to go red after our initial protests he also did it with a veiled threat of not investing to the full extent that he intended but he also said that he would bring in extra investors and leave the club in a good state. These were Tans words and they did not sound like he was running away and leaving us to the dogs.
Unfortunately many doomsday scenario supporters interpreted this as meaning administration which has always amazed me as tan was hinting nothing of the sort. The support from the red or dead section convinced Tan to then go ahead with his rebrand and the rest is history.
The fact that Tan offered to bring in new investors and leave us in a good state has been missed on many of our fans but it proves that we would have had new investors and that Tan would not have left us in the shit until these new investors were secured. I am quite sure that these investors are still there and that Tan would leave us in a good state.

Shut up you tart

I want a return to blue, I just don't feel the need to join in with a march with pissed up animals screaming racists remarks. I'll be enjoying my pre match pints with friends, having a laugh, looking forward to the football and seeing my club play the Premier league champions for the first time at home. I will not be getting angry about colours.

What a load of b***ocks!!

Once again, you are 'tarring' people with a brush to suit your own personal agenda

True fans are those who want what is best for their club; even if that occasionally means compromise (in this case, accepting Tan's wishes on the colour in exchange for the success we are all currently enjoying)

Haven't seen too many "walk away", but I've heard plenty of double standards being administered from the comfort of their seats inside the 'buzzing' CCS and 27,000+ people can't be wrong! ;) :ayatollah:

Thats just an apolgist Tan comment Sven.

Once again the "why are you still going if you dont agree with the rebrand" is being used. The only double standards are those who use this argument.

You should both try not to take the moral high ground as there isn't one.And Baked the use of Apologist Tan as an argument exhibits the same double standard as Svens comments does it not.In my view you are both whats left of an ever decreasing circle of decent posters who have put a bit of thought into your arguments.

You get to stage were you have to beg to differ.

Ian, I agree with and respect that ;) :ayatollah:

Re: FAO Sian Branson / Jon Candy

The problem with BU is the expansion from there single purpose of being..... Return to blue. There is probably 99.99% agreement throughout our fan base that we want blue back.

The question needs to be asked why they are failing to get 95% of the fans to join them ?

The antagonistic wording of the opening few statements ? You are either with us or a premier league at all cost whore (maybe not the exact wording, but the intent). This from a movement that was formed when the premier league was sealed.

The mixed message about Tan- I always hated the word "educating" it sounded totalitarian and worthy of the 1930 Nazi's

We need a group to negotiate, plead our case. I just don't see confrontation a way to the table.

A march by 500 may get a few seconds on the news but a pre arranged chant or action at certain times will get a lot more attention.......... They may even sell a few more tee shirts

I have debated on The Bluebirds Unite Facebook page for the past 24hours.

Some parts I can agree with, some I cannot.

I wanted to find out what the general census was behind the group.

Courtesy of BU Member Neil Courtney..

"I appreciate what you're saying Antony & understand the concerns you have .

There's no doubt we face, in many ways a very uncertain future when we should all be simply looking forward to nothing more than PL footy week in , week out . For me ,if we don't ensure Vincent Tan is aware of not only the fact that there are many fans still avidly pro-blue , but also prepared to actively campaign for the blue/Bluebird history & tradition , we have no chance whatsoever of Tan seeing the error of his ways in relation to the rebrand ! I will also go on record here and state that he has done many good for CCFC since becoming owner !"

I cannot argue with any of that.

if that was the official line, from what i have read on here, and heard in many conversations.BU would be much much bigger..but just as they want to ensure tan is aware that many are avidly still blue etc..and see the error of his ways..they seem unable to take on board the views of what i think is the majority of pro blues by not stating officially that they do not as a group have a tan out agenda.
i think tan has made an error, why become unpopular over this, and far from selling more merchandise id be shocked if shop sales are not down/
BU have made a judgment error too..they want tan to see his, but dont even consider they might have made one too.

Hope there's a few people with brains at the BU cos quite frankly what I read and see is beggars belief on times

It sickens me that your sad enough to create an alias as a city fan when you so clearly are not

And for your information BU has never been the best way to see us return to blue I've said that since day one

They have their own agenda which with most is nothing to do with colour as once again witnessed again today with most of the banners etc on the march

I have no interest in associations myself with buffoons

I have always said the trust is the only way to talk directly to tan who is the only person who can reverse his decision at the end of the day and unfortunately as I've also said the time to protest was nearly two years ago and unfortunately no one did the ship has sailed long ago
