No need to apologise. If I'm being honest, I can't make up my mind whether its in bad taste either, I mean... he is dead.

Wouldn't go near that one chuckles.

Why are you replying on another account? How can a petition rip apart fans? The rift was caused by Tan's desicion, not our petitioning of it.

Current players won't want to get involved.

Ross McCormack RTd and sent a message of support, so did Neville Southall.

That gave us a lot of names - and a bit of abuse from Leeds fans (who soon shut up when I pointed out that they "rebranded" in the 70s.. )

Thought you'd made that remark at my post about getting behind the club, not the colour.

And simple, people vote on this petition, and start to try forcing it down people's throats or just constantly going on about it, someone who's pro-red says no, and blablabla human nature, another argument.

This whole protesting shenanigans is just going to cause more trouble between the fans than there has already. Get behind the club, not the colour. Still the bluebirds and the £100m invested has brought superb players, a promotion push and saved the club from becoming Portsmouth.

Still play in blue away, still have the bluebird visible and top of the Championship.

If you'd rather the club fall apart and dissolve due to high amount of debts and you not even have a team to watch week in week out, than watch your team play in red at home and blue away you have issues.

I remember when it all came about, Ledley tweeted about it, so did Gary Lineker. I'm sure you could get a lot of support from ex players or other ex pros :ayatollah:

You know we don't play in blue that often.. Secondly, it was caused by Tan's decisions.

Where's the protest? I don't see one. All I see is the fans of the club wanting a voice. Wanting him to respect our clubs traditions and identity. Not exactly trying to force him out?

You say he's invested 100m? He's invested nowhere near. What has he actually done?

In case it had escaped your attention, Langston haven't been paid off yet, Tan's debts haven't been turned into equity, work hasn't started on the new training facility and the alleged stadium expansion is nothing more than a feasibility study.

In real terms, Tan has only invested a few million more than he had done at the time the re-brand was announced, and he now has more assets to sell if he so desires.

All the bollocks about him walking away was nothing more than scaremongering. And it worked a f*cking treat.

LeBlue give it rest with the abuse. As far as I can see this petition offers fans who are unhappy with the rebrand a sensible way to try and voice disappointment with the rebrand. Any good business is about customer satisfaction and if customers are not happy with a product then they have the right to complain.

I can, when the other poster has a clue what he's on about.

You're clearly one of these fans who has been hurt by the rebrand, understandably - but because there wasn't a new training center the next day, or the Championship Trophy just handed over, and the debts still being organized and paid off you have to piss and moan that the £100m is all an urban myth, that Tan hasn't done anything for our club and in complete denial by doing this petitions (lol @ target of 5000 by the way, pretty sure that 5000 doesn't each 5% of our registered fans?) could cause more harm than some sanctimonious idealism that you're actually going to change the badge back, the colours back, and the Malayasians mind when since we've gone red we've broken records, signed awesome players and the club looks like it's going somehwere.

Well, the 100 million IS an urban myth. A lot of it was already invested. Debts to Hammam still haven't been paid off and whilst he waits around to turn the loans into equity, he's charging us money for those loans.

5,000 is 25% of our regular fan base and is a fair starting point.

I'd still like to know how a petition can cause harm. I also feel it's unfair saying I'm causing all this bad feelings between fans. TAN caused it by a completely unnecessary rebrand exercise which alienated a lot of fans.

To me, my football club is far more than breaking records and signing awesome players. It's about being part of the local community, It now seems more of a foreign businessman's plaything rather than the part of the local community.

The sheer lack of consideration towards the fans (no consulations/fan representatives involved on the decision making)

What's to say he changes the bluebird next? All the facts point to that he doesn't like or want it (remember - the first draft had no bluebird on it) and the fans rolled over so easy for the colour, why not the badge? Will you still support him?

This is not just about a return to blue, but about ensuring our bluebird is kept.

If you don't agree with me, then fine. I respect your view - it's about time you did the same. :ayatollah:

Yes, invested into the club to sign players and give Malky the transfer kitty for this summer gone & January. It's also going into the training center, and a proposed stadium expansion (if we're promoted). The Malaysians I'm pretty sure negotiated or still are trying to solve the debt. It's their business too...

It can cause upset and cause arguments very easily. How are you so ignorant to see otherwise? Back during the change a simple "Guys, do you like red or blue kit?" caused uproar, arguments and a rift between fans, never a petition trying to force the club through another change back to blue and potentially more arguments for the people who are happy and content with the red and financially secure club with a promising future.

The club is not the colour of the kit, hence why you get behind your club, not the colour. Although the distress at first was understandable and the change was a sudden thing but the fact this sort of crap is still ongoing is childish and clingy really. The club is still here, the players are still here, what made the club, the club is still here. Just in red with more players, bigger crowds and premier league hopes.

You shouldn't support Tan, or a colour. You should support Cardiff City Football Club. Red, blue, green or some messed up hippy dyed rainbow shit.

I value everybodys opinions too but this has been done to death. If you could not garner enough opinion in your favour when the rebrand was announced what makes you think it will happen now when the vast majority of fans have moved on and are supporting a very successful club in increasing numbers.

Last time everyone was put off due to the threats of violence from certain fans. Last time it was also run extremely poorly & planned demonstrations. This is more civil.

Secondly, I didn't try anything at first - my first attempt.

Increasing numbers? Last time I looked, every game bar one was watched by a smaller crowd than last season.

To some, there's more to the club than success and premiership.

Re: BRING BACK OUR BLUE FOR NEXT SEASON - Online Petition

Thu Dec 20, 2012 9:01 am

If you were a real fan you wouldnt have needed to "the last time i looked" you'd have been at the games seeing the crowds grow. Now there are 19500 season ticket holders and watch the crowds rise as the season progresses. Good luck if you want to try something else mind but don't leave buying a season ticket too long if you want to join in because Cardiff have said they'll issue no more than 20000.

I am a "real fan" just pointing out that every game bar the Peterboro game has seen a drop in attendance from last season, thus proving your point wrong.
