Where was is famous run that a few on here bang on about.

Hope he scores to shut me up about him!!

Exactly. I was hoping that Watters just needed a goal to get him on his way, for him not to have been bombing in for that play is terrible, basics, and he would have scored. I think I've seen enough of him as even if we had two up top, I just don't think he's got it in him at this level.

mmmm there was 3 others standing doing nothing but hey ho watters is fall guy... as for runs he as made at least 6 great ones but where was the support? I know they were admiring the Run...

It kind of is his job though. If anyone should be hitting the 6 yard box it should be him. He's been poor today. Should've scored and at least 3 or 4 where he wasn't where he should've been.

Spot on.

Its also job of other players to support him isnt it.... Can people say hes been supported by one player? Hes made the runs got the ball so where should he have been love to know..

Come on Allan. Dont retort to silly replies. You know he was crap. In that one moment, a striker to stand flat footed on the edge of the box?! OR make a run for the 6 yard box?! I think we both know the answer. The other players as you say (midfielders) have the edge of the box covered, as they did.

Ok perhaps I just think people blame him for the failings of morison to play with support for him you've got to agree playing one upfront is never going to work with strikers we have ? Whilst he should been in box for o'dowda so should others been there whst was point if being 30yrds out when ball was going to be put into 6yrd box at worst.. anyway cannot wait for new striker but morison needs have change of attitude to how he sets up team

O’Dowda for me seems to be thinking one step ahead of the striker, same way Wilson did. We need to change the way we play, one up top now for too many seasons and they still haven’t realised that’s where we fail. It’s time to go back to 4-4-2, we’ve tried for too many seasons with one up top and it hasn’t worked, didn’t exactly work for NW, didn’t work for NH, didn’t work for Mick and not working for SM

Again Watters denied by the keeper. World class strikers miss these chances without hitting the target.

If his chances keep coming it’ll go in as long as he’s hitting the target I see nothing wrong. Harris had an equal chance to round the keeper and let him get a hand on it when he looked second best.

The problem for watters, he’s not being given service. Made some great runs and when one was he was clean through. He could have been sent through 3-4 times but not being seen

Seems it is in the teams mindset to not turn up fr Derby games
Bristol just wanted it way more
We are well short on quality

No sugar coating that performance as we were second best on far to many occasions be it a challenge, a header , a tackle whatever criteria you want to use and for that reason Bristol were good value for the win.

We are a team in transition and despite a remarkable summer transfer window so far the job is nowhere near complete. Unless we get ourselves a couple of Championship strikers before the end of the window we are in for another long season where the only target is 50 points and survival.

Goals change games and IF Watters had scored when played through that could have been different but he failed to convert another one on one and within minutes we are 1 down just before halftime. I thought heads then dropped on a few of our players and that's a worrying sign. But I thought Allsop, Kipre and O'Dowda played well enough along with Sawyers and Ojo but for them only in patches.

For me I will remember another derby defeat that highlighted an apparent lack of desire by us when compared to Bristol and surely that's not acceptable.
