Just shows what the people in Wales think of Plaid Cymru. Just a few people in this poll here rate them, and the national polls put them at 12% at best. Just as well protest by spoiling your ballot paper as voting for PC, who will end up with their usual 400k or so votes which will help them achieve precisely nothing.

Not going to get much support with so many far right poster on this forum that’s for sure!
But really hand on heart do you think that Wales is anything but an afterthought for the Tories, Lib Dems or Labour.

I don't rate any of them mate. They are nearly all career politicians in it for themselves, and as we have seen with the likes of Blair, politicians can use this game to make themselves very wealthy. I accept that many of them have no choice as they would have little chance of getting a real job in the real world, but that doesn't help me or anyone else. If I had been unemployable due to three quarters of my brain being missing, perhaps I would have had a crack at politics in an attempt to rake in the cash at the expense of the British public, or suckers as we are probably known in Parliament.

I figured the truth is your ordinary Welshman in the street is just as much if not more an after thought with plaid as they are with the major parties... yes they want your vote because we are all welsh arnt we..? no we aint mate.. the majority of us are not extreme
so cant we have a compromise where you lot have anglesey and blow the bridge with the left overs from when you were blowing masts up. ?

Probably those of us with an IQ that exceeds our shoe size Jock.

It's inherent in "socialist" "left" "wing" ideology, if thy disagree, smite him, fwing him to the fwoor, wigously.

No doubt they'll pick up the use of masculine rather feminine in the above, but hey, keeps them off the streets.

Changing the subject slightly, why would anyone, let alone a "socialist" vote for a nationalistic party?

I was born Welsh, moved away many, many years ago. Returned a few months ago and to be honest, the place has gone to shit. Absolute idiots in charge, assume most are either labour or plaid, can't be arsed to find out, but so sad to see. I've lost count of the PCN fines I've paid, around 300 quid last month alone due to ineptitude of WAG (and associated idiots). I will, before the children point out that I'm an old fucker but can drive a car, old gentleman's car now, days of Scoobys and Evo's long gone and does have the rather weird facility that I can tell it what to do!
30 mph speed limit it appears Nats, set speed. OK Jeremy, master, shall I share with social media as the drivers around are doing the same.
Nah f**k it, enable sport mode and kick the boost pressure up.
Thank you master, My panties are now wet rather than damp, but may I say that 30 mph limit on M4 is a cash collection exercise not a road safety initiative.

Popeye, it was a general dig at wales nationalists, every one of them is a fuckin idiot.
There's a couple of old friends that I hope stand for Labour, one of which would be about the best man for Wales and WAG. We very much disagree on certain aspects but if he does decided to stand I'd have no problem whatsoever in voting for him. Unfortunately, not in my election area.
There'll be a good few on here who know him personally.

This is a genuine question...

I get (although dont agree with) the arguments for Wales seceding from UK and being an independent nation. But I really dont understand how that aligns with then wanting to be part of a much larger and far less democratic political union within the EU.

I just dont get how a nationalist could simultaneously be a globablist. Why would someone who is a welsh nationalist want us to become independent only to be a part of a federal Europe.

Honestly, I really dont get it so am genuinely keen to understand the thinking on the whole Welsh and European thing.

It is testament to how far left our culture has shifted to the left that you could think that there is anyone on this board that is far right.

Do you ever stop and think that maybe your perspective is actually far left - because most of those you want to label as far right are generally centrist or what would be best defined as classic liberal.

Far right is essentially libertarian small government with limited/no regulation with individual autonomy being the most sacrosanct thing. Far left is big government with the good of the state as a whole being the most sacrosanct thing.

I wish people who throw around phrases like far right would actually bother to spend some time actually understanding what the political spectrum is.

If your far left fine, I dont agree with your ideology, in fact I think it is abhorrent but I respect your choice as individual liberty and free choice is fundamental to my own personal ideology.

But if you are far left and think that is not an extreme position and want to label any one right of Mao as far right then I'm sorry but you're nothing more than a useful idiot.

its because life obviously is not that bad mate.... they want to be seen as fighting for their freedom from the English who apparently keep us down trodden and oppressed but do not really want to risk going alone without EU grants.. there was a time I bought into this garbage but it was quite a few moons ago..

Ealing, I genuinely can't quite work it out either, The nationalist socials parties, ,SNP, Plaid, etc don't want to be run from Westminster as they want "freedom" but want to join the EU, the right wing lot that they don't like.

Austerity? 600 odd feeding at trough, bigger pickins at EU trough. Can anyone in UK vote for any politician? It's like a big brother lefty ting for morons, vote out the nasty person.
I'm voting for me, paid the 500 quid and don't give a f**k, it's a waste of time.
Votes are available at two pounds, don't rush now, discount for blonde ladies from Ystalefyra no fatties though, climate change, no fanny farts, puts N02 into atmosphere.
Spare visa for Saudi going free, I don't want it, but for our lefty friends, have it, go see they how the welcome non muslim or "right wing" friends.

Lets take a walk down memory lane at some of the worst things the Tories have done.

1, Bedroom Tax
2, Denying disability benefits to people that need it most and humiliating them in these "assessments" and driving many to suicide (my mother attempting it because of them)
3, Scrapped housing benefits for 18-21 year olds
4, Massive increase in tuition fees
5, Rewrote junior doctors contracts resulting in record numbers of medics leaving the NHS after their training
6, School cuts
7, Cuts to disability
8, Calling £450,000 homes "affordable"
9, Scrapping nurses' bursaries causing a massive drop in applications
10, Snoopers Charter- which lets them spy on you texts, emails and browser records
11, trying to dismantle unions
12, Cutting taxes for the rich
13, Social care cuts
14, Public sector pay freeze
15, Piled on more debt in 4 years than Labour did in 13
16, rise in wealth inequality
17, Number of homeless children hit an 8 year high
18, Child poverty expected to hit 50% in 2020
19, living standards fell for everyone but the richest
20, Working people in absolute poverty grew by 2 million in the last decade
21, Record increase in food banks
22, By 2022 tories will cut a combined £70 Billion in corporation tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and bank levies yet they claim they need to make saving by not guaranteeing triple-lock pensions.
23, 10,000 fire service jobs axed
24, Cut 20,000 police jobs
25, Knife crime skyrocketed

Please ask yourself if this is what you want when voting, im not saying vote Labour but you should really think about the damage Tories have cause since coming into power.

Unless you're really well off or richer there is absolutely no reason to vote for them, this election is bigger than Brext and its more of this to look forward to if they remain in power.

Most on here cannot think critically. Brainwashed into Brexit and now believing that the English Tories are the best bet. Just like gullible sheep.

Most on here, and if the polls are correct, most in the UK must be gullible sheep. I certainly am, but nobody has brainwashed me. I have been around long enough, spent enough time in business in the UK and countries throughout the world with my job, to make my own decision and to be a gullible sheep all by my own making. Strange how it's always the noisy minority who are right, while everyone else is wrong.

I think you need to learn to read. Nobody has brainwashed me. Farage,Boris and social media were unheard of while I was learning through experience rather than forums and facebook. As I said above, I am responsible for choosing how I vote, and can't blame anyone else for that. You may be surprised to know that people who do not share your views are capable of making up their own minds without being brainwashed by the media. With the BBC, and most of the media being anti-Brexit, if there is any brainwashing, I would suggest it is not those who voted in favour who are the ones most affected.

You can’t answer a couple of simple questions on the EU, you talk about people’s inability to think for themselves claiming they are gullible but in truth you know very little about the EU, if you did you’d realise an independent Wales would not meet the criteria for membership.
Claiming half of British children are in poverty is possibly the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard.

It's meant to say 50% in more than 10 constituencies but it's too late to edit.
