Now if Vincent Tan came out tomorrow (past rebrands aside) and said he wanted to change your name to Cardiff Bluebirds, would you really have a problem with that? I know that if Hugh Jenkins stated that he wanted to change us too Swansea Jacks, i'd kinda be quite pleased to be honest, and proud! I'm sure that hull have always been proud to be known as the Tigers so I'm sorry I really don't get why they are kicking up such a stink?

Had the exact conversation in the pub earlier... agree with you entirely. The only downside that came out of the conversation was that if the guy at Hull pushes the name change through, the FA wont have a leg to stand on when the next chairman decides to do the same thing, next time it might be more damaging though?

I think thats a fair argument tbh. Nice to get a rational argument instead of 'omg changing the name is so evil' for once. I actually agree with you here. I don't see the issue with the name change and it makes sense but it does then set a precedent whereby other owners will do it at their will, especially the likes of Tan, who I'm sure is definitely keeping an eye on the developments in regards to this.

That would be my concern if I was a Cardiff fan...
