if we went into administration wed probably end up dropping down 3 divisions start all over again and be another 10 years until we just return to the championship!

cardiff aren't ever going to be a massive club and play in europe if this wasn't to happen, unfortunately football these days is a business same with every club and if you want to make it big time you have to take some sacrifices and spend a lot of money!

i for one don't want to lose the name bluebirds but to us fans we will always shout bluebirds and it will always remain with us,
if this was a start of a new era and if vincent tan was to spend multi millions on our squad and we know wed guarantee some success finally i think we should go with it and see what happens!

Yes we've done well the last couple of years but can you really take any more suffering with the play offs etc and not get any higher than we are at the moment? surely as cardiff fans for the last 20 years plus you would love cardiff to be playing some high quality football and maybe even sort the defence out and stop letting in last minute goals!!

PLYMOUTH, PORTSMOUTH, LEEDS AND LUTON THE CHAMPIONSHIP CLUBS THAT HAVE GONE INTO ADMINISTRATION LOOK AT THEM NOW??

i know vincent tan knows that he is killing the tradition because his son who you know is on the board has be told to pack his bags because he was against the idea and didn't want VT to do this.

I think we should all wait for more confirmation in the next coming weeks if vt does say the money will be going on the squad and he does actually believe he's going to be spending enough to take us to playing in europe then what can you say?

we will always be bluebirds to us and surely thats all that matters F*ck what everyone else things as long as we know who we are and what stand for thats all that matters!!

Absolute bollocks!!!! If we went into administration we would maintain our place in the Championship because this league is so poor

Didn't Lufc get re branded in the 1960's? Changed from blue & yellow to all white [after Real Madrid], how did your fans feel about this, all be it 50 odd years ago?

the fans loved it tbh a masterstroke by mr revie the boss but we were also called the peacocks at that time dont ask me why tho cos i dont know it worked for us but that was back in the good ol days b4 the tinternet and the younger school of fans on f/b city will always be bluebirds tho i recon this is gonna boil for months this it aint over yet methinks!

incorrect, Leeds went into administration when they were more or less in Div 1, Luton went into administration while they were in Div 1 and Plymouth went into administration while in Div 2. However look where Swansea, Southampton and many would agree with me that Leeds are in better shape financially now then they were before they went into administration so your theory is flawed.

With 70m of debt the club would be liquidated unless a buyer materialized... very unlikely :old:

I believe first of all what carl and annis have said they dont say things like that to make it up its all true I got no doubt in that.

Its a theft of ore clubs identity a theft of are own identity and its a devastating blow to take.

Cardiff City as we all no it is over and I am sorry but when they change the colour to red the badge etc to me everything that was my beloved football club that I am so proud of will be dead.

Its Rape and they have raped us of are football club thats all there is to it ,I no its a strong word to use but to me thats what it is.

I am gutted to the core and I dont no what to say or do about it.

At this moment in time I cant see me taking my kids to watch the bluebirds again its just TO much changes we've all been robed of are football club by foreigners who dont really give a shit about us fans who are the most important part of any football club.

Absolutely gutted .My 1 AND only question to Carl OR Annis is can we stop this happening if so HOW.

WHY DO WE NEED TO CHANGE OUR IDENTITY TO PROGRESS?! f*cking idiots.

Re: " HEADLINES FROM TONIGHT'S MEETING "

Any successful businessman will know that the key to making it in business is to stand out from your competitors. So who are our rivals in the football market in Malaysia? Man Utd and Liverpool! Are we seriously saying that if we change to red we will be on a par with them???? It makes no sense! Not only will the colour/badge change make no difference in Malaysia it will seriously alienate our loyal fans in the UK.

Besides Tan is saying he will invest £100m but why hasnt he done so already? if he had invested in January we could have been in the premier league already, playing in blue, regardless of luck! Plus he is talking about using a large chunk of the money to increase capacity and build a new training facility. We can't even fill our current capacity so why spend money on making it any bigger? Furthermore, our training facilities are fantastic. In fact they are so good that Man Utd were happy to use them last week in preparation for one of their biggest ever games! Once you take into consideration that another large chunk of the cash will be spent on the Langston debt there will be little left over to strengthen the squad, hence why today we are linked with a 33 year old full back on a free transfer. It all stinks! One of the worst ideas I've ever heard about in British football. It's so comical it's like something from Mike Bassett.

The FA need to put an end to foreign owners meddling with clubs before the soul is ripped out of British football forever!

NO INTEGRITY
by Leighton James Dont Like uS » Tue May 08, 2012 7:41 pm

How Many times have I posted on Here about the way the Malaysians are going about things in regards to Our Club. No replies on most Iv posted? All on deaf ears, I recently posted on here about the local sponsors being knocked back at a time when all money's should be welcome for Cardiff City yet the owners preferred to have Malaysia plastered all over the kit so not only do the Club lose out financially but incur another bill for the privilege of having the Owners Country plastered all over the place and Cardiff City kit??. And Malaysia being one of the biggest counterfeit producers I wouldn't be suprised if they paid a fiver for this seasons kit. (Ruthless no Integrity) That is My view along with many People I know, Ill give you all just one reason alone that sums it up for Me. (1) The Malaysians went to the Lebanon as guests to Sam Haman and were welcomed to Sams home where the Malaysians resided during the visit to Lebanon, Then once back in the UK sort the help of Forensic Accountants to find a way out of paying the debt to Langsdon/Sam? Weather you like Mr Hamman or not these people don't give a fook how they gain posesion. They had it all worked out plus had lots of advice from other Asian football club owners that know all the tricks. There have been much discussions in regards to pore attendances, There are more than a few Cardiff Fans that smell a rat and believe their club is no longer Theirs. Hence the reason why theres more atmosphere at the ODEON than the CCS.

Absolutely right :ayatollah: Anyone thinking that Admin would be a nice easy fix clearly has little understanding of the process.

When we were in the Ridsdale shit nobody, apart from TG and VT, wanted to touch us. They, unlike virtually all our previous owners (including Hammam) put their own money in.

Given the level of debt quoted do you really think that VT, Hammam, PMG, etc would settle for 10p in the £  The reality is that they would not. Therefore the only options are continued Malaysians investment or winding up.

Malaysians are saying they would want to re-brand and change the colour. Winding up would, by definition, require re-branding, starting from scratch but we could keep the blue.

I am completely against the colour/identity change but if it means avoiding my beloved club going into insolvency then that is the price I would be willing to pay.

We will no longer have the nickname the Bluebirds.

Vincent Tan is close to agreeing a £100m investment in CCFC.
But Langston has to be sorted first.
An announcement is to be expected in the next 2 weeks.

The stadium will be increased to 35,000 for the 2013/14 season.

The meeting was told that the change to red kit and Welsh dragon badge was non-negotiable and there was no viable alternative for the Board but to accept the proposals as the club could not survive financially without the investment.

These are the main points of the meeting and I will give a fuller description and the reasons behind these changes later.

What are the alternatives? when I saw the headlines Cardiff and RED I thought we had gone in to administration.
I think you are all over reacting to this, if TG is putting in £100 mil of his own money, he is going to do what he thinks is right for the club going forward.
And if it works and we get to the PL and are succesfull I will back him 100%.
People need to look at the options, we are up to our eyes in debt, we have been very succesfull over the last six yrs, two cup finals, and the idiots who are saying they would rather watch them in the Conference need a reality check, we could not surrvive, no support, because the support would dry up, no support means no ncome, how do you buy players?

The important thing to me is that we are playing the highest standard of football that we can achieve, go ask Man City fans are they happy with their lot, yes they bloody well are, people like yourself would rather go back than fotward.
Lets put another spin on this, say we went into administration? and ended where Wrexham are, struggling to get back into the FL, and then VT came in and offered to take over the club, with what he now wants to do re brand the club and put money into the City, are you telling me that you would rather him walk away, and we as a club would struggle, all the support would head down West and start supporting the jacks, I am not talking about the older supporters I am talking about the kids, they are the future of any club, they become the fathers, who then bring the sons and daughters to the games, that is the future, football has changed, the needs of clubs has changed, it is not about thugs and hooligans running football, it is about families and hospitality we need to move with the times or stand still and go backwards.

Football clubs bigger than ours have changed kit colours. Its a defining moment in our future. I am willing to bet that if 20 years down the line, we have a prem title, everyone complaining on here will be clambering for tickets to see us lift the trophy!

With respect to people posting about the financial fairplay rule, this is why we have Malaysia on the shirts. VT can invest into the club through pushing his money through the shirt sponsorship meaning its all legit.

No matter what happens with the kits and stadium colours, this guy is willing to put another 10,000 seats into the stadium and make our training facilities top class. We know VT didnt support city as a kid, i for one didnt see him on the Bob bank in his teenage years. he is here to make money, and to make money he needs us to be successful.

Lets back the club, no demos or chants as its not exactly done Blackburn any good, just hampered the team and killed the support the fans give during the game.

Wear your blue city colours, stop buying programmes, beers, food anything associated with the club apart from your tickets, thats the best way to protest, but turn up and support the clubs players through it all!
