no fight in them

Got to blame ole I'm afraid it was a shocking team selection. A derby match where you need to put bodies on the line we have a midfield of whitts kim and Zaha none of who will put their foot in.
No surprise that the three players brought in on the last week of the window have all been subbed.
We are down now without a shadow of doubt

Should have never got rid of Malky and I hope this game shows why to those who quickly turned against him.

If only we had Malky, what utter bollocks!

Malky had a better grasp than OGS

Rugby fans could see that

Re: MATCH THREAD " SWANSEA V CARDIFF C " MATCH THREAD

Words can't describe my opinion on this second half performance - absolutely dire. OGS didn't make one game changing substitution, which is poor considering who is on our bench.

We've known Turner is a liability for a long long time, but the fact he chose the derby against the Swans to give his worst ever performance for us... can't believe it.

Kim shouldn't even be making the bench anymore, let alone the starting 11.

More pissed off we've thrown away 3 points to be honest.

Three simple mistakes we make 1 is hoofing it to our opposition 2nd is we don't close down, am I thick or is this schoolboy level mistakes, this is every game not just credited to today. 3rd is shite team selection. I hate Gary Spunk with a vengeance now. Not the end of the world though we were away next result is season defining c'mon city nip the schoolboy errors in the bud.

f*cking Villa next too, who are a lot better away than they are at home. Going to be one tough game!

swansea were just the better side of two poor sides! i didnt understand subs, like for like with two of them didnt change anything so we were never going to score so it proved, school boy errors gave goals away just plain awful performance by nearly whole team , now makes it lot harder to get out trouble due to other results :old:

Gutted and sad...
WORK RATE WORK RATE AND COMMITTMENT the minimum I expect in a city shirt.
Some players are probably not premier quality but give their all ( eg Turner). That I can accept.
Today Bellamy Medel and John played their hearts out and although they made mistakes they WORKED
BUT some others!! Eg
Whitingham and Jones
You need to BATTLE
Whittingham needs to take a good look in the mirror. Never gets very near to a player to close down quickly let alone actually try to tackle! Not good enough in the top league. Fre kicks and corners are not enough! OK Fabio was at fault for the Ist goal but look at the effort or lack of from Whittingham.
I think if we keep playing him we are in the sh:t. Therefore we had nothing to lose by playing Daehli who looks a far better player
We have nothing to loose by playing him cos Whittingham s passing is almost always sideways or backwards even Medel is more creative. Ive said it before but .....

Jones - i wont judge too quickly but if Cornelius had played that way he have been slated
Lets get behind the team against Villa - vital game
Bluebirds

Not bollocks at all and you know it.

Re: MATCH THREAD " SWANSEA V CARDIFF C " MATCH THREAD

Love the way everyone is saying this wouldn't have happened under Malky, seriously? What was our away performance with him realistically. The majority of the team played terrible and didn't look like they wanted to be there. From what I see on here a lot have people have been having a go at turner who I think had a half decent game especially compare to a lot of the players on the pitch. How has no one mentioned Fabio's terrible defending of the first goal it was shocking! Also average sub's by ole why Kim and whittingham stayed on is beyond me. Bad performance and bad decisions cost us that game, as much as I wanted to win the Derby we still have more important games to come and a lot of the lower half teams to come so let's not think this is the end of the season cos we lost to the scum, cos it ain't over!

Re: MATCH THREAD " SWANSEA V CARDIFF C " MATCH THREAD

Sat Feb 08, 2014 7:49 pm

Not really surprised by this result because in almost every derby game I've watched it seems the result is more important to the Jack players than ours, and that was clearly the case today.

OGS said in his interview yesterday that our players had a burning desire to win this game and that begs the question, "Who put the fire out". Given the team selection for this game I would pretty much say OGS himself is responsible and whilst the football under MM was boring we were at least organised. Right now we don't even looked organised.

Make no mistake the best team won today and if nothing else this game showed the massive difference in the quality of both squads and more importantly the ability of each squad to compete in this division.

We are still at least 6 wins away from safety and the question is can anyone seriously see us winning 6 of our remaining 13 games.

It's the Championship next season for us in my opinion and hopefully VT will stick with OGS because I don't think our relegation will be completely down to him.

Heartbreaking to watch, I was so ready for a win.

Poor ball control and no finishing yet again, win against villa a must now.

Absolute disgrace of a team selection! I think this was down to twathead Bellamy! Ole not strong enough to face him down!

I know fans of all clubs moan about managers, tactics, team selections, substitutions etc..
it normal that we all have different opinions. BUT the number of times it happens to us that it is so blindingly obvious what is wrong with team that 99% of us can see what needs to change and the manager doesnt see it ---I not just talking about today but over recent years...Dave Jones was a master of it.. Is it just us???????? Have we actually really all gone fkn mental???????

Re: MATCH THREAD " SWANSEA V CARDIFF C " MATCH THREAD

Why didn't Mutch start?
Why take Zaha off for Mutch and leave Kim on?
Why change Fabiola for KM?
Why change Jones for Campbell? We need presence in the box FFS.
For me, the midfield is still looking lightweight. If we can't start winning the battle in that area we have no chance.

Re: MATCH THREAD " SWANSEA V CARDIFF C " MATCH THREAD

Sat Feb 08, 2014 9:29 pm

Would start like this:

LW: Mutch
CM: Medel
RW: Noone
CAM: Bellamy

ST: Campbell and Jones

Need to pump balls into that box for the strikers, nothing forthcoming with just one in the box. Bellamy is love the freedom and would play well in the position he was in today. It's so frustrating to see a team that isn't our best starting in important games. Where the hell are Daelhi, Berget and Eikrem after all the hype?
