Shall we try again.
Do people bestow the title of legend upon a player? You know real human beings!

Suggests to me you know quite well that the posters who have asserted that it is the concensus of people that decides if a person should be described as a legend are correct and you are wrong!
Does that sentence hurt you without your fiancé there to hold your hand?
Just imagine, if you can, the first PERSON who described in an article, I would imagine, Pele as a legend. It must have been a person, can't imagine any other animal or inanimate object making that decision, can you?
Summed up nicely

OGS is an iconic Man Utd player not a legend, just sayin..who decides..?? I would say people(s) who witnessed that person who had no association to the club he played for. But that is just an opinion.
Brazilians, Argies, even us in the U.K, we all regard Del Piero & Totti as legendary figures within the game.
Man Utd fans & players recognise Thierry Henry as one of the finest strikers to have played in England, he has global legendary status.
Before the game was so accessible to everyone around the world...Legends were created by the unanimous admission that the player had an aura and skill-set that set him apart from his peers...Did OGS have that??
Dennis Bergkamp was a better all round player than OGS and both were at their respective clubs for almost the same amount of years. There is'nt a statue of Bergkamp at the emirates, but there is of Henry, Hmm
Why the upset..?? OGS is our manager not a player...how people perceive him is the least or his and our worries.
