this is why groups like bu and the one that jc are never going to work,
to much in fighting.
you have members of bu slagging fellow fans off,you have this group slagging bu off prevously
all the common fan wants is to go and watch a game of football on a saturday,be it in red or blue
kit.
the time to protest and march was last season,it a bit like bolting the stable door after
the horse has bolted.
good luck to bu,and the group that trying to start up :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Im talking in views. Its not black or white for everyone. Not everyone is simply red or blue. Some are in between. Just like not everyone is extreme in politics. Well this is football club politics.

You said you'd be happy for us to go into admin and for Tan to leave last summer. That would have obviously have left us in debt.

Stop making a fool of yourself. You can't help but WUM can you? :laughing6: even when you're trying to be serious.

Here you go again. Anyone who disagrees is a WUM.

You mocked people for holding the view you are now setting up a group for.

No I mocked you for wanting the club to go into admin to attain those goals.

You cannot be all things to all men Barney ,U have to pin your colours to a mast sometime/somewhere ! You limit the base of your proposed group to those mirror-images of yourself and I feel you're doomed to fail simply because you will attract too few to be a viable force ! Pro-blues/Bluebird badge fans need a cohesive banner under which to unite albeit with differing opinions surrounding that 'united goal' , for some it's BU for others it's not ....... but the fact they have a banner to rally around is paramount !

Nail your colours to a mast? No. I have my own set views of what I want to do and if people wish to align with those views then fair enough but they are neither pro blue or pro red. Thats the difference. Pick a team, take the childish Labour and Conversatives and you'll end up in the same dire sorry state this country is in. The answer lies somewhere in between.

So did you say you wanted Tan to leave last summer? Yes you did. You were happy for Tan out. You said that. That would have meant admin.

The safe hands shit is all hypothetical and you know it. There's no guarantee Tan would have found a buyer.

barry can you answer me a question, you have said that the new group will not be taken seriously
because of prev comments.
you have admitted that the spokes person has slagged off city fans, saying they are not proper fans
their facebook account is abusive to other fans unless they agree with everything that bu stands for.
yet you give this group no chance, bit of a hypocrite going by your comments

Not really. Totally different. The person co-ordinating this was talking of creating a "red army" the other day, now this..

How can anyone take that seriously?

i suppose the same way ordinary fans can take bu seriously
after the statement from there spokes person, constant abuse on there face book
to fans who do not agree with them.
i do agree with you to some extent, but it not totally different, you cannot slag off one
person for comments they made, and not another group.

Difference is, that's not the BU officials talking. I agree, it's wrong & should be rectified, but it isn't officials from BU speaking. There was one incident, which was regrettable.

However, for 12 months, James has mocked & promoted "red army" "the rise of the great red dragon" "yellow neutrals" etc & now he's doing this...

That's why I can't take him seriously... :ayatollah:

if that is the case barry i agree with you.
but bu have made a rod for there own backs by saying stupid things
and by not distancing them selfs from some off the things on fb
it is poorly run,and i do not think alot of the fans take them seriously
i am not having a dig at you barry, just my opinion :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I agree with you except that its not BU making the comments, but it's members. I've posted on their site myself, telling them that posts of that nature are ruining BUs credibility, but there's a number that just don't seem to care about that.

Sian's comment was regrettable & she HAS apologised, immediately, if I remember correctly.

which boils down to bu being poorly run,and i think your correct sian did apologise straight away
but i think the damage was done by then,
if it is to have any chance they have to run the fb proper,an perhaps sian taking
a backward step, sounds stupid but sometimes taking one step back means you can get ahead (x union rep coming out in me)

I feel the fb group should be moderated or even better, admin only. In fairness though, people need to remember that they are the views of the individual, not the group.

Eg this site belongs to Annis, doesn't mean that every comment that is posted is a comment he agrees with or condones..

Do I think Sian should stand down? Not for that remark, no. I do feel that changes do need to be made to their site though.

difference between bu site an this barry is bu are fighting for something
as for sian totally disagree,if i made a statement against most of my members like she
done against the fan base, and i thought it was holding my group back i would take a step back
for the good of the group

No different to this site. Opinions posted, just like the BU site & those opinions do not reflect those of the site management. Though it would be better if they weren't there at all.

I don't believe Sian is holding the group back. What's doing the group more harm are the people posting crap on the page.

Well when you have plenty having a go and moaning about dividing the fan base and so on what else can you do? People already had a blue side to support and they're very religious about it and think its the answer to toppling Tan and restoring tradition so let them get on with things their way.

The rest of us will just enjoy the football and hope for the best whilst continuing to wear blue.

Again, don't see you doing anything Christian. At least you've stopped gambling though. There's a start.
