the training system makes no sense anymore.

Just let your assistant take care of training, that's what I do and I'm 2nd. Change your passing style to shorter and you'll find that you keep the ball a bit more, especially if you ever play 5 in midfield

Smith is a quality CF and also with Maynard and velikonja and mason just rotate as poacher, I have 2 wingers and all my midfielders are set to support.

I just beat the jacks in the FA cup final on my 3rd season haha fancy that!
Isco looks quality if i can sign him I'm gonna try now aswell in my 4th season finished 5th this year, how much u pay for isco I bet he is class

How do I do that? Is it using the shout 'work ball into box'? That never seems to work

yeah but use ones like get ball into box or hit crosses into the box. Just keep trying them out untill you find one that works for you

Go to "Tactics" and click the "Player" Tab.
Click Show Instructions
Select the player that's wasting his time shooting from range on the drop down list on the top left.
Select the "Long Shots" box and take the slider down as ow a you'd like them to shoot.

That should stop them wasting their time.

I tend to ignore those instructions unless I have a very specific style of play i want my team to play and choose a team I feel is best suited to play it.

I did it on FM12 where I went Burnley to create a team based on Wingers and Wing Backs that race up the byline and drilled crosses onto Jay Rodriguez's head for him to score or knock down to my number 10.

I think he had 20 goals by January

Yeah i paid 16.5 Mil for Isco, he was unhappy at his club and handed in a transfer request! im sure his release clause on there is 17.5 mil i think. Also id reccomend Toby Alderweireld - a CD from Ajax, he is really good and also has great passing stats so can play the ball out.

I'm 2nd in the Champ coming up to January, got 1.5 mil to spend after selling Noone, anyone recommend any signings that will take me up and help to keep me up? I can't think of any to sign and my scouts are just finding players that aren't as good as my main men. I don't need back up as much as much as I need a star.
Also can anyone recommend a defender for cover? Turner has shin splints and Habib Beye has a hernia and both are out for ages :x

Garry Monk for 110k

Also what positions are you looking for?

I've actually been recommended him for 70k
Maybe a striker, Maynard has gone over 300 minutes without scoring but Mason and Etien are on 13 and 9. Right winger wouldn't be too bad either as Smith is too injury prone and Conway is hit and miss, Bellers out till mid February. When I think about it the only position I'm perfect is CM :|

apparently the shooting from range problem is a match engine error.

Get him for 70k then. He was great for me.

Not that I make a habbit of signing ex Swansea players... *cough*broketransferrecordforVormonFM12*cough*

The problem with Cardiff s it's hard to find players as good or better for reasonable amounts even if your players aren't in form.

I always find I want players that are replacements when I make relatively large signings and for that money you won't get a lot that I can think of.

Try having a look at Shaun Wright-Phillips though on a loan if you can. He goes down hill quickly on the game because he's not getting regular games but he might be available on loan. Depends on your game's circumstances though...

Canton, when I was in the championship I signed, Flanagan from Liverpool on loan, Owomoyela on loan from Dortmund and also I loaned Marc Albrighton these were all good players for me! I think In January I signed a player calle "Miguel Lopes" was from Porto i think on a free transfer or low cost, he is a good player and I am still playing him in the premiership!

Just finished my first season at City, and after a distinctly average (and frustrating) first few months I ended up 2nd and won the FA Cup by beating Chelsea 5-2 AET.
Sold Noone and Harris in January for a total of around £5m and bought Marc Albrighton and somehow, Curtis Davies. Cost me around £6m in total and a shit tonne of wages, better watch I don't send the club into financial meltdown now

Found the best players were Etien, Mason (17 league goals each), Kim (13 goals, 19 assists), Mutch and Turner. Noone was gash and Bellamy was just average, too high wages.

Any suggestions on who to buy ready for the Prem? I was thinking Danny Graham to rotate with Etien and Mason :ayatollah: :malky: :ayatollah:

I managed to get Clint Dempsey on loan when i went up just look in the reserves of the big clubs and see if they got any decent players in there that they dont want. Keep Turner because he turns into a beast, he had the highest average rating in the prem for me one season.

Re: Football Manager 2013

changed my formation to 4-4-2, fullbacks are set to defend, CBs are either limited stopper and CB defend. right mid is a wide midfielder. then a ball winner defend, then a attacking playmaker, followed by a wing attack. forwards are a poacher and a CF attack.

i use shouts of Get the ball forward, hassle oppos and work the ball into the box. Tactics work very well. I play a direct passing style, very narrow wingers, pushed high defence line, and drilled cross.

Works pretty well at city with the players you can get. Means you dont need 2 decent wingers, just a cm with a good stamina and pass.

Alrite lads, any of you had a takeover in your game, I'm in 2016 and a few people have tried takeovers but then they end up collapsing? One guy was gonna put in 96million for players!

On my game I created my own Cardiff City in blue and started in the Blue Square South. I have had successive promotions and am currently top of League 2 and the club has been bought by the fans.

VT's lot, FC Malaysia are still in the Championship with Steve Bruce as their manager because Malky left for Sunderland!
