Just put a message on a Pompey board and already got a Pompey signature in response. Maybe there is something in this approach.

Mate, Cardiff city is our clubs name, our identity is colour, nic-name, history, perhaps even infamy, but lets get this straight once and for all, Cardiff city is our NAME only. Hence why many people are asking for a return of the colour (and as such, the nic-name, given that the nic-name came from our colour) as its such a vital part of our IDENTITY

Its like starting a facebook page:

"Who would like to jizz on Cheryl Coles face"

Youd get thousands sign up but the reality is youve got no f*cking chance of it happening.

Sorry but thats the reality.

No harm in trying. It's better than just sitting on MBs carping at others, eh?

Not really. What youve done didnt require much effort.

About as much effort as writing on a messageboard or a social network site.

barry actually not having go, just pointing out that outside of city fans we are identified by our name! said same thing to annis he keeps saying lost our identity but in reality lost what us city fans identify to (our shirt) which is completely different to loseing our identity completely. :D

That's your opinion and I see your point. However, when something is linked with something for so long, it becomes part of them too.

For me, the name is part of the whole (along with other things) and any loss of those parts equals some loss of identity.

Plus, football clubs aren't people..

WELL DONE ' 757 ' SIGNATURES SO FAR, I WAS STARTING TO THINK THERE WERE ONLY A FEW OF US LEFT. :ayatollah:

Re: BRING BACK OUR BLUE FOR NEXT SEASON - Online Petition

It is a good effort considering it has been going only a few days and has only had the publicity of this forum. Message boards are not read by all fans. A wider range of concerted publicity and this figure would quickly rise to four figures.

A bit like an empty shell then?

Cardiff City in name but not in substance.

Actually, you're wrong. Building a website, writing a petition, promoting it.

As I said, at least I don't just sit in my arse and pick and snipe at others. Must make you feel REALLY big..

If you love the red and embrace the red then that is fair enough it's your choice, but it then gets a bit rich when you are having a pop at those that don't feel the same and trying to belittle this thread with your comments above. But even that was a poor effort.

Mate, you just quoted me and replied to me but I'm arguing FOR a return to our club colours NOT to stay red!

Well done, it would be great to have some positive publicity and hopefully some civilised debate about our identity and the future. All we ask from the club is to engage, listen and show a greater respect for the clubs history which is held dearly by a good many of us. There has to be a compromise somewhere.
