Im not but he did give the ball away. Already admitted earlier on in the thread that hes only partly to blame as the defenders and keeper have responsibility too. Butlands positioning is terrible, looks very nervous for a keeper but he is young I suppose, will get better with age.

Ruined :D that screams of a man been ruined himself.

It is a fact Ramsey gave the ball away cheaply in which Senegal counter attacked directly fom and scored as a result.

Simple as that.

Wasnt aiming it at you just at Roathy. Yeah Butland didnt look as solid today as he did against Brazil but he is very talented. The only thing I will disagree on with you is thinking that Allen is better than Ramsey :D but Im just glad we have both of them for wales :ayatollah:

Collison can sod off though for scoring in the playoffs for WHU.

The original debate was regarding who had the better game Allen or Ramsey.

I factually stated when the sub happened team GB had put themselves in a winning position.

I then factually stated it was Ramseys poor ball retention that caused the equaliser

I then factually stated alleys ball retention was excellent.....

RoathMagic is right here. Ramsey did give the ball away sloppily and that led to the goal. Dont say it didn't because professionals even said so. Yes the defenders could have done better but should have never been in such a position in the first place. Its why ball retention is pivotal. Dont you know anything about tika taka?

Yes he did give it away, but if the defenders had defended it would have come to nothing. How can you have a go at Ramsey for being sloppy yet let's the defenders off with " the defenders could have done better".

Err don't want to state the obvious but that's not what you posted in your quotation marks to represent a quote from me. Defenders defending can mean kicking it into touch or out for a corner, or even holding up the attack up until the team got more players behind the ball. You know nothing

You are looking very very silly now Chloe

Re: joe allen -- team GB

It's called paraphrasing dear. You essentially said even though Ramsey gave the ball away it was the defenders fault because they didn't deal with the concise counter attack.

There in black and white.

Case dismissed.

Paraphrasing isn't changing what was said though is it? I never mentioned winning the ball back and just demonstrated why this wasnt necessary to stop the goal. But yes I'm laying blame with the defence.

You're not very bright and a compulsive liar. Case found in favour if me, the prosecution. Sentence to be decided. I'll let you know.

Whether they won the ball back, kicked it out to touch, held the ball up is irrelevant to the point, which means paraphrasing is completely acceptable.

The fact is it was Ramseys misplaced pass that caused the attack which they scored from. To start blaming the defence goes into the what if territory as there is no guarantee they could have done anything. The cold hard fact is the only mistake which gave Senegal he opportunity to launch the attack lays firmly with Ramsey.

These are facts. You can try and refute them but you would simply be wrong.

Case dismissed.

Try again tomorrow, less insults this time, your guard is slipping, it's making you look angry and frustrated.

Didn't get it wrong at all. You said it was the defences fault as they could have dealt with it (assumption) while downplaying the reason they had the counter attack was due to Ramseys error (fact). Slam dunk case unfortunately.

I'll refer you to my last post regarding you frustrated insults and suggest loosely that calling someone a liar when they clearly aren't not only mirrors te insult but also adds a touch of hypocrisy. Not pointing any fingers of course.

I'd like to know how many times you have gone to bed only to get back up to post in anger, that's a few times you have said you are leaving only to one back minutes later.

Log off and try again tomorrow. But agin less of the insults and mistruths next time, doesn't reflect well.

Oh you're still struggling bless. It's ok I know all about paraphrasing and pretty sure it's never meant misquoting someone to try and sustain a lost argument. Struggling with what? Those sort of replies are the ones I'm talking about.

Misquoting is taking something out of context, mparaphrasing is not using the exact words but same meaning. This was the case with us. You said it wasn't Ramseys fault because the defence could have dealt with it, I said you said it wasn't Ramseys fault becauase the defence should ave won the ball back. Both meanings have the same outcome and both are wrong however as both involve eradicating a fact with an assumption.

Oh Chloe remember you already lost this one. The following count as defending that would have resulted in the goal not happening as it did
1. Defender follows the runner as he should and shepherds him away from goal
2. Defender makes a foul, taking one for the team so to speak
3. Defender holds the play up by covering properly giving time for other players to get back
4. Defender makes a tackle and ball goes into touch
5. Defender makes a tackle and ball goes out for a corner

Which of the above mean you have to win the ball back to stop the goal?
Oh this should be good :ayatollah:

QED, case dismissed, apology accepted

Re: joe allen -- team GB

Fri Jul 27, 2012 6:16 pm

But winning the ball back makes no difference,. We are talking about stoping the goal. The pedantic nature of your reposts continue to back up what I'm suggesting you are doing.

Ramsey gave the ball away which gave Senegal thenportunoty to attack which they did astutely and concisely. You are speculating, being the key word, that the defenders could have done better. Yet the only fact we know is it was Ramseys error which gave them the attack.

Case dismissed.
