No there won't. Plenty of new untapped fans in Cardiff waiting to lap it up. Bring it on I say, we are lucky to have this.

I got mixed feeling on this, hope this is not set in stone and there is some kind of compromise.

I fully understand the History & tradition scenario and that's a huge gutter, but I've watched us play in blue, black, red, White, purple, yellow and I don't think I've supported the team more or less depending on the colour we are playing in at the time.

Sam introduced change with the St David's badge , change is not always a bad thing depending on the circumstances, I've got a few blue City tops which I'll still wear, we are "The Bluebirds" and always will be, if they reconsider and leave us that way, that's a start!

You know adam that the sometimes fans and plastic cup final fans or two the years of watching us supporters will still be watching us whatever we are called/badge or what colour we wear they do not understand half of what you said tbh.

I'd rather the shit days than selling our soul.

Go and support Newport then.

Newport are not my team. Cardiff City, THE BLUEBIRDS, are my team.

And with out the investment you wont have no team.

There is no logical reason to why we must ride over 100+ years of history to get this investment though.
By all means have a red away kit, by all means bring a dragon into the clubs brand in some way (we already have a dragon on our badge). But why the hell do we need a new home kit colour and nickname?
Its pretty much just one step away from what happened with Wimbledon.

Well you can see from my avatar that i am a Bluebird through and through and have supported City since 1970 and what we have all got to remember is Chairman and owners wii come and go but we are the fans and the Club is ours Cardiff City the Bluebirds and that will not change unless we allow it.

I will continue to support the Manager and team i WILL WEAR BLUE and i will chant BLUEBIRDS louder than ever Vincent Tan has to realisr that he can't ride rough shod over 100 years of history and tradition compromise is the key here. If we played in red the colour of Wales with the Bluebird proudly emblazoned on the chest i could accept that after all in the last few seasons we have played in white, yellow, black AND red.

I want success but not at the cost of selling our soul however let's not over react let's make clear our opposition but be prepared for some compromise and let's give Tan time to reconsider :old:

If its done then it's done.

I goto the footy to see my mates, have a few beers, watch the city, I go away to have a few beers, meet up with old friends, watch the city.

I'm still Cardiff, always will be, always will be the bluebirds no matter what anyone thinks.
I will always be there.
Miss the old days at Ninian park through, miss the atmosphere, miss the trouble, we can't have everything we want, but if we want to be a great team then Maybe this is it

What the f**k!! Still trying to get over the disappointment of losing in the play offs and now this. Totally unbelievable stuff, I know these guys are our owners but some of the changes are just too extreme. We're Cardiff City, should be playing in blue at home and our club crest and nickname should never ever be changed. It would be nice to hear officially from within the club what the exact long term plans and strategy is

Didn't Lufc get re branded in the 1960's? Changed from blue & yellow to all white [after Real Madrid], how did your fans feel about this, all be it 50 odd years ago?

I can't get over this, I can live with playing in red but we need to keep that Cardiff City badge. This is where Tan doesn't understand football! :x

This is shocking news. A century of history gone. Of course the investment is welcome, but at what cost? Can't think straight just now, but will probably be watching the Welsh Premier League next season. No loss to the franchise, I know. Already paid over £400 for a ST. They should have told us this before we paid up. And what are they going to do with the seats, paint them red?

I go to New York for a week and come back to this...I want my season ticket cash back. I support Cardiff City, they play in blue. Good luck to the new club that represents my city but it won't be my club. 1974-2012. I had some good times and made some amazing friends. Selling your soul to achieve a dream. It's basically prostitution and I won't be a part of it, still there'll be plenty of glory hunters happy to take my place who will be delighted that we are finally playing in their favourite colours. :x

would fans really prefer administration than this??

if we went into administration wed probably end up dropping down 3 divisions start all over again and be another 10 years until we just return to the championship!

cardiff aren't ever going to be a massive club and play in europe if this wasn't to happen, unfortunately football these days is a business same with every club and if you want to make it big time you have to take some sacrifices and spend a lot of money!

i for one don't want to lose the name bluebirds but to us fans we will always shout bluebirds and it will always remain with us,
if this was a start of a new era and if vincent tan was to spend multi millions on our squad and we know wed guarantee some success finally i think we should go with it and see what happens!

Yes we've done well the last couple of years but can you really take any more suffering with the play offs etc and not get any higher than we are at the moment? surely as cardiff fans for the last 20 years plus you would love cardiff to be playing some high quality football and maybe even sort the defence out and stop letting in last minute goals!!

i know vincent tan knows that he is killing the tradition because his son who you know is on the board has be told to pack his bags because he was against the idea and didn't want VT to do this.

I think we should all wait for more confirmation in the next coming weeks if vt does say the money will be going on the squad and he does actually believe he's going to be spending enough to take us to playing in europe then what can you say?

we will always be bluebirds to us and surely thats all that matters F*ck what everyone else things as long as we know who we are and what stand for thats all that matters!!

If we went into admin now, any player worth anything would be out the door and replaced with under 19's.
