I watched football on tv and flicked between chatting shit on here and watching the man u game
on my smartphone.

You described similair as your "perfect night". Whilst it whittled away a boring midweek night if I was 18 it certainly wouldnt be a "perfect night".

I would be out socialising, or if indoors and online then putting that time to better use. Im sure putting some irons in the fire with some young girs would have been more on the agenda rhan arguing with an "old man" esoecially about politics.

The amount of regurgitated 'Daily Mail' rhetoric is unbearable, "coming over here, stealing our jobs" and so on.

THIS ISN'T HAPPENING.

Immigration does, shock horror, have positive effects. Such as allowing the low paid blue collar workforce to increase in size and efficiency. These (legal) immigrants, are not "stealing", but filling the jobs that many people would never consider. On the contrary, the high-skilled immigrants benefit the economy hugely and ironically create jobs.

Did you ever imagine that they simply possess a higher work-ethic and more qualifications than you? Being born in the UK does nor render you superior to those who immigrate legally. If a job becomes available, you are free to apply. If you are unsuccessful, it usually means that a more compatible candidate has been found. Nationality is an irrelevence.

The cliche argument against immigrants using the benefit system is a further fallacy. Obviously there are immingrants who have failed to find employment and are consequntly on 'jobseekers'. However, the majority of people on benefits are British nationals, and these are usually the people who complain about immigration. Furthermore, the majority of legal immigrants are in full or part-time employment.

Essentially, the UK has always attracted workers from abroad. Whether they are prospective doctors, or prospective shelf-stackers, jobs are not being "stolen" from British citizens. There is simply greater competiton and consequently a higher standard of worker, which should be encouraged if progression is desired.

We should abandon the immigration fallacy, as it simply stems from recession and ignorance. Please, ignore 'The Daily Heil'.

when you have a family,a mortgage and whatever else that goes with being an adult i think your opinion may change....and when times are shit like they are now,and we already have more than enough people already living here capable of doing the jobs....why are our doors still open,just go ask your parents and p.s. i dont read the papers....im talking about the real world
