You're from Porthcawl yes? Stand on Porthcawl beach and look right. That stunningly beautiful visage you see off in the distance is Swansea, and just beyond that is the Gower peninsula. Notice how close they are together? That's because they're both part of the city and county of Swansea. So in answer to your question, no we didn't invent the Gower. Only the hand of god could create such beauty.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and you clearly don't know beauty when you see it. Whether it be the sublime passages of play on display by our city's football team, or the majestic natural beauty of Swansea and her suburbs such as the Gower, with the exception of a bitter, blinkered corner of south east Wales, it is clear for all to see, that Swansea is gods own country.![]()
P.s, if you hate Swansea so much, why holiday here?

Do us all a favour, go down to the Gower and wait for the tide to come in - oh you can't coz not even the sea likes getting that close to you!!!

I notice you ignored the link I posted. Not a link to wikipedia, but to the official city and county of Swansea website. Did you click on it? If you did you would have been directed to a web page which clearly shows the Gower as being part of the city and county of Swansea.

You should know all about that by now. Or maybe I should say you don't know anything about that by now, perennial bottlers that you are. We showed you the way against Forest, and then Reading in the final, on that glorious summers day at Wembley. We are in the premier league purely on merit. Fluked it.. my arse.
Boring Boring Swansea
Are you referring to the same boring boring Swansea that have won almost universal praise from the footballing fraterninty? Universal praise outside of a small bitter corner of south east Wales that is, who think it's their god given right to be bigger and better than everyone else. You're still finding it hard to swallow aren't you? The fact that little ol' Swansea town are playing the likes of Liverpool week in weekout, while you only get to mix it with the big boys by reaching the final of a tinpot competition like the milk cup, or rumbelows cup, or whatever the hell they call it these days. Nevermind, at least you'll get your day in the sun before returning with your tail between your legs, back into the shadow of your bigger and better countrymen down west. I would say make the most of the day it and try to enjoy it, but thats not likely to happen is it?
Been on the glue again have we. You lot shot your loads when you won the mickey mouse paint cup-33stones autobiography has a great image of 18000 girocashers at wembley (big club my arse) and a caption saying the ghost of 1927 (or similar). Then when you won your 2nd major honour against the giants of cumbria you lot were so excited that trundle and tate had to fly a flag with our name on it.
Yes we will probably lose against Liverpool but that's far more creditable than losing to Shrewsbury.
As for universal praise don't make me laugh. 0-0 draws every week and you have taken over wigans slot as the last match on MOTD. Listen to the likes of Stan Colleymore and many respected journalists who sum you lot up as a team that passes the ball well between keeper and defenders.
Next you'll be saying the gower belongs to swansea. PR1ck

Well, Gareth(Wilts) for one. He, along with others have spent many an hour sat pecking away at their keyboards, trying, and failing to suggest that the Gower has no link to Swansea. Having lived in the Gower for the first 28 years of my life I think I'm qualified enough to say that it most certainly has. I've provided substantial and unequivocal evidence that it is, whilst Gareth and his pals prefer to rely on hearsay and personal opinion to back up their claims. To be fair, he has never backed down on the matter, even in the face of utter humiliation and defeat, and even though he makes himself look retarded by sticking to his unfounded beliefs, I must at least give him credit for his unwavering commitment to his lost and stupid cause.

The gower is not part of the city of swansea. It might come under the county of swansea (old west glamorgan) but it is not part of the hellhole that is abertawe. I find your sad little rants rather amusing and the fact that you bite everytime just adds to my amusement. My parents live in Carmarthen-they often pop over to the Gower and will say 'we went to the gower today'. They don't say we've been to swansea for the simple reason that the gower is not swansea.

There is no distinction made between the city of Swansea council, and the county of Swansea council. It all comes under the organisation known as the city and county of Swansea, of which the Gower is a part. Now then, I have provided proof that the Gower is not only administratively part of the city and county of Swansea, but that it is also geographically, and politically part of the city and county of Swansea. See previous links I have provided. In other words, I have conclusively proved that the Gower is very much a part of the city and county of Swansea. Are you seriously telling me Garethwilts, that you're only counter argument to all this evidence that I have compiled, is that mammy and daddy say "we've been to the Gower today"? They are simply specifying which area of Swansea they've visited, and so technically are perfectly correct. But to use this as a basis for you're counter argument smacks of desperation.
Now than Gareth.. Accept defeat graciously, and I will promise not to gloat or poke fun at you. Accept your fate, and no more will be said on the matter. We can both move on and find something else to argue about. What say you Garethwilts?
