Undoubtedly, Tan and his team have lost interest, but how do these X posters know anything?

Who is their source? They surmise, guess or plain make things up for clicks...

How many people would be in the room for negotiations?

It looks like that's that then, would have hoped for two more but it's not major drama as far as I'm concerned.

A lot of people blaming the board but there could be many reasons why deals couldn't get done.

I’d fall into the category of believing that to do your business on deadline day is poor planning. Different factors can influence that and of course, if you’re mainly hoping that premier clubs release loan players then that’s all you’re left with. The frustration with the club knowing it’d come down the final day is, that we must’ve had atleast some indication that players preferred other options available to them. For BBM to publicly state he wanted more activity, and to land none of them.. something, somewhere has gone wrong

I'm not worried about signing players think we will be lower half but not relegation my only worry is if bbm feels he hasn't been supported by the board and he gets an offer from another club and leaves

That would be my worry as well but we don't know if it was the board or BBM himself that made it difficult. We may know more on that tomorrow when he does his press conference after the game so I'll wait & see what he says.

Wouldn't blame him, seems like nil ambition by owner and board to push on after a great season.

That's what comes with no ambition from the board we where promoted feel good factor togetherness hunger to keep going lets do a Sunderland push on ,
but no lets consolidate ambition is to stay out of relegation that's going to fill the stadium

BBM in tough position.
Can't get players he wants
but build the building blocks full of promising youngsters in 1st team

What if the board tells BBM to sell a player then you can buy a new player but the players BBM is offering
no one wants to buy. So BBM is stuck. With no further funds to spend. I can see BBM getting frustrated with it all
and leaving the end of this season if we struggle.

2 players in
we need at least 2 more
Back up striker for Salech in case injured again
back up winger for Willock in case he is on poor form an need a rest

Looking at free agents the only one i can see that may be a shout is Zach Marsh. 20, not prolific but plays across the front 3 (mainly as a CF). But if he'd be an upgrade as cover ahead of Isaac Davies i don't know

We are now in a relegation battle . Squad is too lightweight , got away with it in league 1 .

I don' t believe we would be in a relegation battle if it was the january window that maybe different with nobody in ,but the lack of ambition is what annoys me.

With Leeds signing another winger and limited playing time, I know he's an ex Jack but Dan James would probably be available for a loan to someone. If they paid his wages. Lol.

Held our own in League 1
Yes we ended up 2nd but we faced a tough team in Lincoln which ended winning it all

we will get plenty of wins this season for sure but eventually teams will work out how we play
and then beat us tactically. We should off beaten Sheff Utd but ended drawing and there are teams more trickier than
Sheffield Utd that the players will face like West Ham but I think we can surprise 1 or 2 teams this season

We unfortunately just need more protection for Salech in case he got injured again and there will be more physical teams
this season so it could be more likely we will get more injuries.

Zaha - f**k no! The performance he put in for us v Palace was the most unprofessional display I've ever seen on a football field. Might have well as been wearing a Palace kit. Annoys me to this day - on a par with Jordan's handball at Anfield - have loathed Zaha/Jordan/Scotland/Palace with avengence ever since.

We won't get "worked out" anyone who's turned a TV on and seen Man City play in the last 10 years knows what we are going to try to do. We need to tighten up at the back, I'm sure the injury crisis subsiding will help

He would be a back up
whenever Salech needs a rest of something
And would be good to come off the bench

Club clearly want to keep Etete as back up striker so they dont spend anything

Bamford would still be a useful player for us regardless if he starts or is benched
