I would agree also Chris.

I feel like the football Des plays would get the best out of our more creative players, Colwill, Ashford etc.

Jones is more defensive and I feel his style of football won’t be taken well by fans.

I still recall the comments from some stating ‘rather go down playing nice football’

I also agree.

Jones has had success of course, but I actually find him cringeworthy. It always has to be about him, as we saw in this year's play-off semi final.

It's not passion when he looks over to see if the Sky cameras are on him.

And if people found Bulut's style tough to watch, they shouldn't really want Jones - would be far far worse.

Media wise he’s very bad.

Yeah he’s Mourinho without the results.

A Cardiff fan he might be. A good manager I don’t think he is.

If he was English and say, a Derby fan, would there be an interest?

This maybe would swing me:
Wins 189 Draws 120 loses 121 win rate 43.95%, mainly in the championship/L1

the odds on favourite, if he If he was English and say, a Derby fan but played for the club 43 times
wins 0 draws 2 loses 1 win rate 0%

Or an Englishman who supports Oxford and has no association to the club
wins 85 draws 38 loses 53 win rate 48.3%, mainly in India

I don't think he is coming but Des is still potentail whilst Jones is a step up with proven form

Good points mate.

I am really happy with Buckingham, but if Jones is a viable option then we must go full on for it because he fills all the gaps at our club, as he is a control freak and will meet no resistance

Tbh I’d be happy with either.

Jack Wilshere is now 1/2 favourite for the Plymouth job.

Buckingham 6/1 so it would appear he’s not going to Plymouth at this point

if i was Des i'd tell tan where to shove it, what must be going through his head when he reads cardiff are going all out for Jones when being realistic why the hell would he come to our shit show

But Des may have been talking to Plymouth at the time. Who knows?!
It’s the managerial merry go round.

This is football lads, this is how it works. How many transfers have we thought that were in the bag, only to be gazumped?

He is not exclusively only talking to us, let's be realistic. Unlike Maccy, i don't think his reputation is taking him to a championship club, so its L1 for him.

Cardiff, Plymouth and Luton will have better players for at least a season so that's his best option, one of those.

I just placed a £3 bet @7's on him so Worcester better be right :P

I think it makes the most sense, I think Jones is trying to increase the commitment of Charlton in transfer funds by letting the rumours circulate. It could have been doused at any time yesterday. In our case a phone call from Dalman to Abbo is enough to kill or set up a story.

Buckingham now 4/1  The power of £3

Jesus, he has hit the magical 2/5 odds, I think that's the third or fourth person and he has done this twice

I don’t think he’s talking to any championship clubs.

Once again The Hierarchy said it would be announced before the end of May lol

Well it’s not going to be announced now till next week apparently complications, but My View this all should of been sorted weeks ago

Plymouth are also now Speaking to Des Buckingham.

Des Buckingham is our new manager.

I think this is one of the best possible appointments we could have made. Great news.

Now let's all support him.

If this ends up not being true then I will take the criticism.

But this comes from a very reliable source.

Considered an outsider at Plymouth with Wilshire, Evatt and Wagner before him.

Re: Update: " DES BUCKINGHAM "

I still think its about length of contracts, Buckingham will want 2 years, Jones is on a 3 year contract so will want the same and Evatt will want a 2 year. However as we know tan will not give over a years contract. so where does that leave us? Purse? Rooney or some one very desperate.
