SUNDERLAND PROMOTED TO THE PREMIER LEAGUE

Very fortunate for Sunderland. But nice to see Wilder fail. So arrogant at times this season when he lost games.
Sat May 24, 2025 4:11 pm
With a manager who had zero Championship manager experience from abroad.
Well done Sunderland

Wanted Sunderland to win... but I think they'll struggle in premier league unfortunately don't have the depth of strength in quality players for what's coming .... ut we'll see

Cracking game. The Blades will be kicking themselves. For Sunderland that is the best way to do it.
Sat May 24, 2025 5:03 pm
Neither side would survive next season, but it's always nice to see Blades bottle go in playoffs.

Won't be surprised if wilder goes after this.....

Sheffield Wednesday are easily the biggest club in that city. No excuses for not selling out a play off final.

Looking at where seats we're probably didn't want to pay extortionate prices for them I certainly wouldn't if it was city ..

Sunderland is not a rich area but they managed to sell all their tickets.

Stark difference in how both city's view football.... long time since Sunderland was in today's situation sheff just relegated.. I know after our playoff I said I wouldn't do it again! Bet those seats were £150+ as was in best part of stadium...man city had same problem for fa cup semi final while forest didn't. Just offering a rationale for why empty seats.

Charlton v Leyton Orient in the League One final gets underway at 1pm
Sun May 25, 2025 10:57 am
Come on Orient!
Sun May 25, 2025 12:05 pm
Nervous watching this. A Charlton defeat would mean we’ll get Jones as manager. There’s a lot riding on this match
Sun May 25, 2025 12:21 pm
Poor game of football so far. I've seen very little in the league one play offs to suggest that we should worry about mounting a promotion campaign next year.
Sun May 25, 2025 12:38 pm
Charlton 1-0 up

Charlton 1-0 Leyton Orient
CHARLTON ATHLETIC PROMOTED TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP

That puts to bed any idea of Nathan Jones coming to us.
Excited for Orient away next season.

Not really managers have jumped ship after promotion even after getting to premier league!! Maybe Charlton won't offer him what he wants regarding funds ect in championship?

I don't think Tan will hire a fully developed manager, they need to be grateful and take the calls.

Pleased he won't be coming to us.
Good manager but not likeable. Style of play is one of the worst in the EFL too.

Wimbledon v Walsall at 3pm on Monday in League Two.
This will complete the play-off finals.
Mon May 26, 2025 1:40 pm
Kick off in about 20 minutes.
Don't really mind who wins but Walsall would be a relatively nearby away game for me.
Mon May 26, 2025 2:50 pm
Wimbledon take the lead just before half time, they've been the better team.
Brilliant goal by Hippolyte.
Mon May 26, 2025 3:14 pm
going by the standard of play don't think we will have a problem with whoever wins today
Mon May 26, 2025 3:47 pm
Five minutes to go, Wimbledon still lead 1-0.
Walsall have dominated the second half but Wimbledon defending very well.
