Re: ' Consortium possibility to take over Cardiff City '

Always concerns me when I hear if my name gets out then il pull out. In my experience this leads to false hopes.

If they are committed they will be decisive from the start

Also a consortium will pull funds together for a purchase. But an accurate 5 year business plan in football is complete bollocks. No consortium will have planned for injuries etc. when players need to be signed who will fund it?

I'm sorry to put a downer on the topic but I really cannot see why anyone would want to put money into a business that is losing so much money ? Please enlighten me

I agree, and there is always talks of consortiums and take overs at every club, but let's be honest 99% are just talk and wishful thinking.

A lot of businesses run at a loss get taken over and are turned around to make a profit.

Cardiff City is running at a lose due to bad management. First thing to go at a takeover is usually the management. Besides in our case it is clear Tan is aiming to balance the books hence why so many players are being shown the door. Add to that a number of staff have been laid off as well.

1- As you know footballs not like any other business.
2- Cardiff can be a profitable club if run correctly.
3- The lure of the Premier League and all its riches is to good to resist.

I just hope fans don't get deluded by the whole if we turn back to blue we will pay for season tickets and all will return to "Normal". It's not just the money coming in, the overheads must be enormous... Even if a consortium is formed, god knows what the additional costs will be to rebrand the club back to blue and of course additional funds to buy extra players and thats just touching the surface. The money raised will only be redeemed if we get to the premiership "which in our current sate" is a big ask, so I ask myself why ? Why would anyone want to pump money into this risky situation ?
