I may be incorrect in saying you stated he "mostly" plays as a holding midfielder either way going by the definition posted above its the same role regardless.

And if you honestly believe he played as a Trequartista then you have no understanding of football

Anyway. Now thats done and dusted..... Back to the thread.

It seems Britton actually is our defensive midfielder just as I said and Medel is one of the worst performing starting defensive midfielders in the league just as I said.

Funny that :D

Of all the games I've seen Canas play he has certainly never played the role of a Trequartista and for the games I haven't seen I still doubt he did. Next time I speak to my friend who is a Swansea season ticket holder I shall ask him and I very much doubt he will agree with you. Either way I'll leave you be to stick to your own little fantasy world

CF47 BLUEBIRD wrote:Its hardly surprising is it really. Its crystal clear Monk doesnt have the respect of the players, not the foreigners anyway.

This was happening under Laudrup too.

Indeed, but I did state at the time that Monk was NOT the one to galvanise the team and I believed Huw gave him the job whilst he 'sussed out' the next man, with the belief that the squad were more than good enough to see the season through without too much danger of being drawn into the bottom end battle

The problem is that when certain members of the team no longer respect the guy at the top (i.e. initially Laudrup and latterly Monk) there in less of an incentive to perform and that becomes an 'issue' which can spread negatvity and resentment throughout the sqaud, as appears to have been the case here

We (I believe) had the same 'issue' in the latter days of the Malky era; although I still believe that was mainly caused by the likelihood of his departure following the much publicised 'spat' between him and the owner

I still think Swansea will 'survive' and they will have a new manager in place by the start of pre-season, but Huw will have learned big lessons from this season and that (not too palletably from a Cardiff City fan's perspective) can only be good for your future

Should Cardiff City survive the proverbial 'trap door' this season, then I honestly believe they too will learn lessons and will emerge a better club and team for their experiences (good and bad) for next season and beyond

Froma rivalry point of view (not a particular 'Welsh' one) I sincerely hope we both stay up  :bluescarf:

Ki has played more matches as defensive midfielder than Cattermole according to the site, I know Ki is in the side starting every game as he is on loan from us - i have no reason to change that just on your nod.

Dyer: Bust-up claims blown out of proportion

Swansea City winger Nathan Dyer has played down reports of a training-ground bust-up at the club before Sunday's 1-0 loss to Chelsea.
The Premier League club confirmed on Tuesday that a "couple of incidents" had taken place prior to the defeat to Jose Mourinho's side, in which Swansea were reduced to 10 men when defender Chico Flores was sent off in the 16th minute.
Garry Monk's men are just three points above the relegation zone, having won just one of their last nine league games.
However, Dyer insists that any off-pitch incidents have been exaggerated and feels the atmosphere in the dressing room is a positive one.
"The mood in the camp is very good," he told Swansea's official website.

And there you go again trying to apply different logic to the same argument

Ki was their DM until Cattermole come back after being frozen out by Poyet, then Bridcutt (Lower rating than Gary also) has become their DM since he was signed in January, pushing both Cattermole and Ki into CM.

Mr.M strikes again. Its got quite a ring to it. :laughing6:

How is that different logic :laughing6:

I suggest you understand the logic before commenting further because you are just looking silly.

Ive told you that I have no idea who is DM for these teams so go on most starts in that position, Ki has more appearances in that position than Cattermole and starts every game - so Ki it was.

You have a right to appeal of you wish and i will look into it in due course

Saying Britton's better as theres a 0.9 difference in stats is just stupid.

When you look at the breakdown of the stats theres f*ck all between them. If anything the fact Medel's played a third more games than Britton and the stats are still even only strengthens the argument that Medel is better.

Thats not why im saying hes better, im saying he is better because he is. The stats are just in support of that.
